ok all (including lurkers), please contribute to the discussion. It shouldn't be the case that the top 5 posters account for >50% of posts.
This should be a meritocratic discussion of the phone features and usage, and the occasional friendly debate. Let's keep this as a top 10 forum in LYN. Looking at the velocity of this GN2 thread, it has maintained its momentum compared to even the newest hot phones despite being 4 months on the market. QUOTE(brijesh.ratnani @ Feb 13 2013, 09:29 PM) To all fellow users. i enjoy reading the discussion and learning at the same time. Good point. I recall some of your first posts. It came at a time when over the whole day people had been asking the same question, so you had a bad reception But we were to actually help each other, i would like to request the full support of the seniors / pro / tweakers to help and not give a cold shoulder. If someone new post a question that has been answered, we should politely inform them and not shut them down. We should invite good questions, how ? but giving each other some space to grow and learn. I barely joined this forum by margin of months, but i can already sense the guys that are always cocky, show off, never help but always want to discuss issues on tweaks and etc. Sometime light discussion or topics should be invited to bring some harmony and show that we are balanced. i take myself as a example, i posted a few times, but barely received supports. (Thanks to those who helped) I would like the person who read this to RISE UP & MATURE and help each other solve problems and discuss rather than discriminate and push the new guys down to the point they don't want to join the team and contribute. I hope nothing but peace and joyful moments here. Cheers. However, some simple sanity checking on Google is definitely educational. Furthermore a lot of basic information was missing from the first page before. That's hopefully fixed moving forward. Nonetheless, it is still a good practice to lurk in a forum before you start posting. If you did this in xda, you would have gotten the same cold shoulder or even worse; there are some devs/forumers there who will flame noobs asking repetitive questions. Note that now, forum rule 9 does state to read the first 10 pages and last 10 pages before posting for the first time. That should give anyone a good feel of the contemporary issues in the forum. Well, your post reply to mine indicates you have been lurking and keeping yourself abreast of forum developments Okay, peace and goodwill to all men. |

Ok before people get a fear of posting.
Thanks for Aspire's posting that this is all voluntary and a communal effort. This applies in any forum anywhere in the world. The point is, we were all noobs once upon a time. Getting to a higher level involves time and effort. We will not flame you if your post is asking for help when your flashing has gone wrong, or if you find a genuine problem, or want to share an interesting article/link/app/development, or if you are polite and ask nicely. We have flamed those who ask the bleedin' obvious, like, what's the latest firmware, where can I get x rom, what's the latest price, or the best ones are "I'm lazy to search, please tell me x". Again, this is not about being snobs, but rather, this is very basic information that can be picked up all over the place. For my part, I will make changes to the page 1 structure to improve the introduction to this wonderful beast of a machine we own, and hope to make a meaningful contribution to the forum and thread. However I cannot do this all by myself and all your help is appreciated. Contributions will always be credited. I've made some preliminary changes to post 1, contributions requested. QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Feb 14 2013, 09:38 AM) what do you mean hard in the morning? anyways, read that monx has some issues with the simplistic framework devs. might not have it in his next rom. and latest dmb2 monx rom seems pretty good with stock kernel. QUOTE(sacremento @ Feb 14 2013, 10:52 AM) Nah. Just wrong use of word. alexng2208 and his Lol. There's no double meaning of 'hard' in early morning. Anyway back to topic. Think my screen got problem. Blue line appears at the bottom each time I unlock the screen but for an instant only. It's like when you turn on an old tv. Hurm...how to explain this?? QUOTE(ReadySteadyGo @ Feb 14 2013, 11:12 AM) Now I cannot even boot at all - all the time stuck at boot logo - and message in recovery showed, "unable to mount / efs" so its totally gone and have to replace motherboard and also recreate my IMEI and efs from scratch. Guess this is a first in this whole series of Note 2 forum topics here Uh, you seem to be the first major EFS disaster here. Try download mode and use PC Odin first? If you can't even get into download mode, then SC won't be able to see your booboo either.BTW, some sections in post #1 need some contributors. All welcome. I will edit |

QUOTE(ReadySteadyGo @ Feb 14 2013, 11:58 AM) Either I pay to replace the MOB and reinstall my IMEI etc or throw it while waiting for next phone. Guess its a non brainer to go repair it and having the warranty void at the same time. I'm saying flash in 4.1.1 and cause a hard brick. Then you can go to SC nicely |
