i had deposit my cheque using fast deposit machine without put my cheque into envelope. . is there anything problem with my cheque if i not use envelope before deposit that cheque? before this i never use fast cheque deposit machine so i don't know about procedure for using fast cheque deposit. please help. . .

no worries, i have done that umpteenth times not only with MBB but also other banks, sometimes after banking hours or public holiday, u can't even find the envelope and u need to bank in the chq so just drop in only, even the guard will tell u to do so

Don't need envelope. Just throw in the cheque and walk away.

for immediate you need to bring the cheq to that payer's home branch and your account is also the same bank then it will immediately clear for you at the counter. ie say chq from maybank ampang park,so you go to mbb ampang park to present the chq at the counter to bank in to your mbb a/c immediately.

Not sure why you think it needs a few days to get your money. Cheque clearance has been reduced to 1 day since mid 2008. Provided you deposit your cheque before the cut-off time for that day (varies with banks, but should be around 4pm or so), than the cheque should be cleared by the evening of the next working day provided there are no issues.

Clearance is much faster for house cheques, meaning you present the cheque at the issuing bank itself (which also means you need an account there). I don't think it is necessary to be at the same branch though but it might depend on individual bank policy.

if u need receipt for record purpose, than put in envelope. If no need record just drop in

Old machine needs envelope.

New machine just requires scanning and generates an image as a receipt.
