no worries, i have done that umpteenth times not only with MBB but also other banks, sometimes after banking hours or public holiday, u can't even find the envelope and u need to bank in the chq so just drop in only, even the guard will tell u to do so

for immediate you need to bring the cheq to that payer's home branch and your account is also the same bank then it will immediately clear for you at the counter. ie say chq from maybank ampang park,so you go to mbb ampang park to present the chq at the counter to bank in to your mbb a/c immediately.
