no need to give money now. Just pm me how much you wanted to pay. Then when we reach our target, i'll collect the money.

young_soul : everyone has to pay rm 15 per month. so for 5 months rm 75. We have to pay fragnetics 5 months fee upfront.

server donations : RM 100 (target : RM 1,020)

Bad news people... i email Fragnetics bout linkinstreet question a few pages back...

QUOTE
1. If we choose the shared server, do we have the capability to
create games or add mods on the server?

You'll have the ability to upload files to the server. I'm assuming that you won't need to run executable files to install those mods, so if there's a need to run a lot of programs outside of the main game server, then it's best to go with the dedicated server plan.

With regards to creating games, we'll only open a web-based control panel for you to start/stop the server. This means that anything you run has to be command-line activated. No graphical user interface is provided. It's possible to switch games provided it's just a matter of starting and stopping the game server program.

2. What type of payments do you receive?

We receive payments in cheque, cash deposit, Internet/ATM transfer, and even PayPal (incl. Credit Card payments). Let me know if you need more information regarding this.

so guys, shared server option is out, imho sad.gif

No, is not hamachi fault, the problem is that, if one of us pc get virus, then who linked to his/her pc, will get the virus too..

Hi Idham,

The fees for monthly prepaid plans are:

Dedicated Server
Setup Fee: S$80 (refundable at the end of the 3rd month)
Monthly Fee: S$180

Shared Server
Setup Fee: S$25 (non-refundable)
Monthly Fee: S$95

With regards to the game executable, assuming that the installation of mods just unzips files into specific folders, it should be sufficient to install the mods on your computer and then upload the changes to the game on our server. Alternatively, what we could do is get a complete list of mods you want to install and finish everything in our initial setup if adding/changing mods is a bit complicated.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Chris

Dear Chris,

Thank you for your answers. You have been very helpful so far  I have more questions and i hope you'll kindly answer them.

1. Let's say, that the mods to the game requires executable file. So i install the game to my pc, then i install the mods on my pc. Can i then upload the game plus the mods to the server?

2. Do you offer 1 month prepaid plan? Money is really an issue because half of my friends are students and cant afford high monthly fees.

Thank you.

Idham

omg.... how come i unable to understand single words here.... so blur lehh...

Evo, share server wouldnt be the choice of us, bcoz share server i think it oni act as a server which we can dump in many files which we can let other ppl to download, mostly is like a file server..

We need to hav a dedicated server... But, izzit sure the cost would be so cheap? How fast is the internet connection speed (Upload speed is important), btw, the server is in Singapore, is like quite far too us, especially Penzman, he's in Thailand.. I think he'll be the most lagging one..

Download speed is important, but Upload is more important, as we see TMNET need to cost about RM600 per month to get 1.5Mbps line (upload n download), only internet already so costly..

Setup fee + Maintenance Fee + Registration Fee + msclls Fee
Just wonder, would it be so cheap? would it be the normal line speed like our home 66 & 88 package?

and what do u mean by 'server donation = RM100'????

Sorry to interrupt again..look's like u guys still ??? with the server.

My advise/opinion:

1. Don't go for Shared Server (limited control)

2. Go for Dedicated Server but plz check what is their upload speed.

3. Try negotiate with them "Trial 1 Month Period" to test the lagging/stability etc...

4. Try to contact NETMYNE, negotiate the cost, having the dedicated server locally is much easier and the ping < 50ms (through our rFactor Dedicated Server experiance).

5. LYN F1C members ~ 13 and we rFactor members ~ 9, we are in the same interest of RACING, if we combine ~ 22...it's going to be almost full grid & racing will be much more fun. Just belanja ONE TIME of paying RM150 for the rFactor, u guys don't have to worry about the server, it's maintain by me & can cater for 24 players online..we can have our own league...smile.gif....visit the rFactorCENTRAL, many things on rFactor !!!

Cheers,
Madnoren
