Left paddle downshift, right paddle upshift. I doubt the f1 paddles are something new, I thought all steering wheels on F1 cars had been like this for years. My old thrust master wheel I used the paddles for brake and throttle as they did not click like the momo does now, they were incremental. The pedals are a big advantage.
The only aid I use is Traction Control. Clutch if needed.
