QUOTE(Penzman @ Jul 30 2006, 05:08 PM)
Hi guys, I've been living in Thailand for 3 years now and I'm looking to join an F1C 99-02 league anywhere in Asia. Got ADSL, a Momo Racing wheel, a good gaming pc and lots of free time. I'm 43, serious about it. I know I may have to wait until the next season starts but I can wait.

Please let me know how to join and what I'll need to add on. In the meantime, I'll have a read of this topic's 70 pages... pfew.

Thanks

Penzman

Each Hamachi network comes with a default capacity of 16 free
members. Please see Feature Comparison Matrix for more information.

I'm off to race online, see you later.

Sure.

Name's AL. I was born in Quebec, Canada. Guess who my favorite driver is, yes Jacques. Once met and talked with his father Gilles. I'm married. Been living in Thailand for three years. I'm 43 and been playing videogames since Pong came out sometime around 1974-75 I think.

My first racing game was made by Papyrus, Indy Car Racing, with a joystick. Few years later I started racing again with GP2, joystick first then I got a wheel, can't remember which one but you could use throttle and brakes with the paddles, maybe Thrustmaster. Anyway, then came GP3 which caused me to wear out the wheel. I took a break for a few years and discovered F1C 99-02 about 3 months ago, went and bought a Momo Racing wheel. Haven't touched GP4 yet but think it's not worth it from what Ive read.

So, playing online is fun but I'm getting sick of Nascar clowns banging everyone on the 1st corner, more clowns driving the wrong way or idiots kicking you out when you get pole position or right in the middle of a race. I drive clean but still have to re-learn a few tracks that have changed over the years. Some I hate but then get to love after a few dozen laps.

Anyway, real glad I found this forum and looking forward to meeting you guys online! smile.gif

Welcome.
Bare in mind, these guys love to hit others from behind laugh.gif
We are not clowns thought but those accidents occur in our race.
No kicking pole sitter though.
From now on, I will post any incident involving drivers who hit others.
But it's very difficult to drive clean.
I mean, I carefully try not to hit anyone in front of me...always kept my distance, but then drivers behind me does not cry.gif
Spunned eventually.

AL, are you expert in manual gearshift in F1C?
Teach me? tongue.gif
You use MOMO right? Can you tell me what button you set for each control?
You started with GP2?
Sure you are good.
I can't wait to see you in our race.

that view I use was the default view when I played F1 last time...don't remember having any other view except like Initial D (cannot see car at all) and 3rd person view (really didn't like it...no sense of simulation at all)...so I just got used to that cockpit view or watever you call it

you can delete the replay in replay studio, don't worry. But during league's race, everyone of us need to turn on replay, this is to ease the investigation job. smile.gif

I hope so.
Like I said, suxx when we try not to hit drivers in front of us...but the drivers behind us
hitted us sweat.gif
So unfair.

I have an inquiry.
During quali while I was exiting the pit automatically, I saw two cars went out of the pit speeding in front of me.
It's like they're using manual gearshift.
How is that possible?
I thought all rules appicable on everyone?
And some cars does not lose anything on their car after had a huge accident.

If someone hosted the game and put invulnerable OFF and clutch assistance ON,
it's applicable to everyone right?

Adrian and Edwin has a few incidents to their credit now tongue.gif
Known to knock others out.
Be more careful guys.
Looking at how Adrian hitted me, he did not even slow down the car to attack that
corner.
It's like there's no car in front of him at all sweat.gif
