yup, need to upgrade the DX lineup..
i am stuck with D300s for Dx setup, not going to D7000 because it feels.. light..
i like the fast D300s but i like the video option that the D7000 have..

well, lets hope the D7100 or D400 can be a good replacement..
and lenses too! no new lens for Dx liao~

as for the Fx no need lah.. enough with D4 and D600 dulu lah..
maybe make a 2470VR or something, but i dont think there's much use n having VR in that range on FX

im curious, why the teardrop bokeh only FF?
bokeh is a feature of the lens right...
sensor size only determines the DoF.

D600 can throw already

i think i hear a D7100 calling...
so with 70-200 + 2x TC + 1.3x crop mode = 420-1200mm equivalent

great cameras as usual. the focusing system is really superb (altho its said to hav the same as D700, but actually, its a tad better from my pov). lots of things to talk about these cameras - but playing with the D800's menu, its something new, more refreshing

for now my D3 sits nicely in the cabinets and D800 is on full utilization mode!

if ur talking about processing then i must say i dont really see a difference between the D700 and the D3. i only feel the difference on focusing fast-ness

honestly nikon messed up during the D3, and D700 era. people ended up with the 700

not much difference pun. but in my personal opinion, the D3's abit sensitive, in low light without the AF assist light (it doesnt have any ) it still can nail focus nicely.

but i've had 3 x D3 bodies and 2 of em got focusing probs. needs to AF fine tune. and had  4 x D700 bodies, oni one has got focusing issues that needs AF fine tune.

for me, the D700 for the win. why? u can choose to add the grip or not. sometimes wanna travel no nid grip leh and the grip has got the knob which really helps as well. and i really love when i can choose to put grip or not

as for the D3, dual card slots is a great feature, and i like where they put they ISO button.

either cameras is super good if one knows how to fully utilize it. if use super power cameras but pics like crap oso no use rite? 

yea man. iso performance up to 12800 still usable imo

but i never use that high oso la..not that im afraid, but i dont need to

oh ya that's actually a great one to have too! pop up flash ftw!

but actually ah, i kinda enjoying the D800's video mode. really good. even the LV is wayyyyy better than the laggy D700/D3 ones

Part of why I made the definite decision to go for D800 instead is because of celciuz. Lol

Make sure you check the AF accuracy on the spot before buying.
I heard newer batch still have the same issue.

D7100 really worth the price? People commented a bit overprice for DX

I plan to upgrade my d3100, Not sure go d7100 or direct FX (FX need new set of lens...)
