Hi i'm new here, just applied unifi VIP5 (forget the name, cheapest package one anyway )not even one month.

my modem, router, phone,IPTV all put in living room while my PC is in my room, in between need go through like 2-3 walls...

and then recently i just bought the repeater because i notice (and some feedback from ohter people) that wifi signal of the default router is ultra sucks.

so when i play dota2 right, i choose SEA server which have lowest ping...
default streamyx 1mbps i can get 80-110 ms , but unifi can get around 20-80ms which is good but recently i getting lag spikes and warning disconnect from server few times for this few days...

My IPTV is okay , smooth no problem...

so i wonder is router or modem problems? if need get a new one, how much need to budget?

i'm not on 24/7 for router and modem, most of the time on overnight till before i go work, and maybe on for weekend start from friday night till monday morning.

i now using lan cable temporary to test my game match and unplug lan cable to test again before i complain to unifi....

duno which side getting problem.

latency is no problem from the game but the DC warning from dota 2 server is killing me

guys, what is the problem (router? modem? line?) when i play games, the ping is decent but the disconnect from server warning is keep happening?

want ask, i just bought TP-Link TL-WR1043ND router but i can't connect to internet, can i ask technician come my house to configure? got extra charge or not??

because normally house unit got 2 telephone line port right? but i think need request to pull another one to here right?

update status: this morning i called to Customer Service, appreantly the password set i got from the method from the previous is different with the one i got told by CS.

tonight go back gonna try configure router again

i thought unifi and TM is same company but different department?

oh well maxis fibre good in gaming kah?

but the default router confirm got problem, even the wifi signal i can tell you
although i haven't complain about the router la, but i think free thing never be good

i can get 5-20 , sometimes 64ms ping normally.

but once my sister open youtube, PACKET LOSS in dota2

weird, using lan cable cant access my router, but can facebook fast........

2 PC connect and 1 hypp TV on....

big possible router sucks cant handle multi traffic?

i duno la, my dad watch IPTV it affect my dota2 match

i mean err... dc spikes...

it get better when i turn off the IPTV machine into standby...

but yesterday night also same without the TV turn on, i had to restart modem to play...

weird.. router already change still got problem like DC spike sometimes
