QUOTE(mypie @ Jul 9 2013, 05:09 PM) Got a call from TM today. Upgrading to 10mb with additional RM20/m become RM169 + RM30 for platinum pack. In total RM199 just like the web upgrade promotion. The difference is the pack is not mandotary and can terminate at any time. TM said this is only for earlybird subscriber who have finish the contract for both unifi and hypptv pack. Anybody got this same call. I grab it without much thinking and now I scared it is a scam. I terminated my Platinum pack before the promotion and thought of taking the rm199 package with platinum pack but after reviewing the new channel listing in it, decided not to. Make sure your favourite channels are in the pack. Are you sure the pack can be terminated earlier and not in contract? If true, I should instead get this option and terminate it later and get cheaper rate for vip10. |

QUOTE(mypie @ Jul 10 2013, 09:28 AM) Well... TM need 48 hours to process the application, will revert back later. If I not mistaken platinum pack channels is as what it is, no channel has been drop. Previously subcribe to 2 cartoon channels for my kids and 1 korean channel for my other half and it already cost me RM20+. So platinum pack is a good deal, furthermore channel 610,611,612 and 613 is worth it to fill your light entertainment needs. You probably looking at new Platinum pack. The original platinum pack includes the chinese channels (Screen RED, [V], SETI, Star etc.) and sports (MUTV & Trace). I know as I subscribed to it before. As for the vip10 upgrade, it is clearly said RM169. |

My never ending issue with the upgrade continues. The bill has arrived and it showed RM199 without discount. Call CS up again and now being looked into. Yesterday they called me up and ask whether the CS agent mentioned to me about the 2 upgrade packages available and which one I selected. They probably will check the phone recording when I called them for upgrade last month.

As most of you would have know, TM will discontinue their email service in Sept 2013. I've been relying on TM mail for almost 20 years. What email service would be a good replacement that is reliable, secure and would last for the next 20 years or longer? appreciate any recommendation. thanks.

QUOTE(tigerporc @ Aug 20 2013, 09:18 PM) What's the problem here? The government did not force them to wholesale as the infrastructure is partly funded by the government, so it is part of the deal to "share" it with the rest of ISV.Of course, TM needs more competition in Malaysia which is why Government 'forced' them to wholesale the fibre backbone to other companies. But I believe most people will just choose what is of value to them; could be price, speed or whatever else. At this moment, staying with UniFi is a choice not a support of monopoly. |
