Anyone has try and flash Ubuntu to Nexus 7?

Live widget will contribute power usage. So i dont use live wallpaper and widget. That will reduce battery consumption as well. Besides that ,I use task manager to constantly kill app. Another tips, turn off bluetooth and wireless if not use

I can connect to 1TB HDD without any problem.
Tried connect to 4 port Hub no problem. Tried multiple thumb drive no problem but if thumbdrive + HDD, cannot.
If only 1 HDD to Hub, no problem

Normally 2 or 3 month. But last time i order from google and sent back to MY. So no issue as a lot of people reported. (touch wood)

mine is around 49 - 52 Celsius on the CPU when using System Tuner to check

Yeah!...Upgraded to 4.3. So far so good and application is running as well.

I flashed with toolkit, then restore all my app. It is still unlock but root not working.
Just need to wait.

Yeah....root completed using nexus root toolkit

Easy.
1. Update Nexus Root Toolkit to 1.64
2. When you click Root. It will detect your old and update to TWRP to 2.6.0 (if your version is 2.6 then you can proceed to step 3). Dont root it first as the superuser su wont work. Boot back to your system.
3. Manual download SuperUser Su from http://download.chainfire.eu/340/SuperSU/S...130625-1.41.zip
4. Copy to your !ReadyToFlashFolder.
5. Use Nexus Root Toolkit and root again
6. When boot to TWRP, select busybox and the SuperSu that you downloaded to flash
7. Once completed, reboot.

Normally it won't come so fast to Malaysia. Priority release to US first. Imagine that UK still need to wait till Sept. Anyway, i don't bother so much. Already pre-order and hopefully can secure a device.

i'm using hopshopgo and use their service to help me pre-order. Google don't accept any credit card which is not using US Credit card. My previous experience is Google will disable Google Wallet if using Comgateway/Hopshopgo/vpost/etc address.

However one disadvantages is Buyforme service charge 10% of the total cost. That's mean extra USD27 which i'm fine with it. Been using their service to purchase stuff which dont access MY credit card.

Last year i've use their address. My wallet got disable and need to prove your credit card address is the same by showing your CC bill. If you check previous version of thread then you can see few peoples also having the same case. Now my wallet has changed to malaysia address according to my credit card bill.

If you check the google play, new nexus 7 device is indicated available to US. So they will enforce policy same as last year and slowly open the market which i doubt malaysia is in the list. Malaysia market is depend on ASUS to bring in.

Well if my guess is correct, Asus will struggle to produce more N7 and focus on meeting US demand first.

Best Buy dont sell to international. I've registered but cannot ship back to MY due to state is US only.
