OK thanks but Four season is quite expensive for me. I need a place that is near to town and have a nice beach. My budget is not over 200rm per day. I dont mind itsa chalet or a motel but the atmosphere must be good.. Dont want a dirty hotel cause I planned just to relax only... So, my time almost will be just stick inside the room and beach. I get a discount for a Berjaya Hotel but that place is pretty far from what I heard..

Why need near the town if your purpose go there to relax at beach?

well, actually what i mean is, im afraid the food at the hotel is a bot expensive. By da way, I just get a good deal from Berjaya Hotel Langkawi. I get RM200 per night for a superior room. Anyone been there before? How about the food there? I know its far from town but since I cant get all in one place(cheap n near to town), is it OK the hotel?I read a trip advisor and most people said that this hotel is good. Anyone been here before? Probably have to rent a car if stay here but renting car is quite cheap i guess!!

Added on April 23, 2009, 1:36 amOK,updated. As i said on my post 2337 post, im sorry about that. I haven't done a full searching on that hotel. All I know is that hotel is far from town...Once again, sorry and thank for your help

Rm200 for superior are good deal and from Garage Sales, you can get even cheaper at Rm140/night. I have been there but I take Deluxe partial seaview room which cost around Rm700++ for 3d2n. From my opinion, I would say the hotel area itself are too big, thus you need to call their buggy services to go to your car par, hotel lobby, beach and swimming pool area. Sometimes their buggy services are too slow, after 30min calling, only the buggy arrived. The hotel restaurant are great but expensive a bit. 2 Person dinner would cost you about Rm 100++. I dunno about their buffet dinner because I never tried it before. You need to rent a car if you want your stay memorable though tongue.gif. Other than that, this hotel are enough to get 5 star rating but I dont feel this hotel are suitable for people want to relax and enjoy the beach so often.

P/s : Superior room are located in the jungle ya.

Check the link in front page for reasonable price chalet in langkawi & also the bus fare to kuala Perlis. So far I can't find any link on bus fare to kuala Kedah which is nearer.....RM50-RM70 having very limited choice-loh..those probably very rundown hostel rather than hotel/inn wth shared bathroom.

Added on April 28, 2009, 7:41 amOn no 1 -no idea any bus to KKedah/K Perlis..but don't think very expensive-lah..If no direct bus just take those to Alor Setar
on no 2, Distance between Alor Setar to Kuala Kedah is only ~10km...taxi rate can't kill you for such a near distance..If based on the same meter taxu rate, 10Km probably ~RM10 only hmm.gif

Kuah is about 19km from langkasuka resort if using airport >Padang Matsirat way & about 25Km if using Cenang>Bkt Malut road.

Since the completion of the dual carriageway from the airport ~2-3yrs ago, commuting to/from airport is much faster..so expecting ~20-25min driving from Langkasuka to Kuah town. Long time ago...probably 35-40min! sad.gif

Stay at this resort is easy to go anywhere. It is like a "T" juntion between pantai cenang, kuah town and cable car.

Malibest is very popular among backpackers, caucausian and middle east people, and is right at the beach. Opposite it or few steps away from it also have some cheap chalets.

Kuala Perlis Bus Terminal to Jetty

Wut is the approximate distance?. What is the taxi rate to go jetty, or is there any other transport to go jetty?

Im planning to leave langkawi on a Sunday, which doesnt give any choice of buses to KL. Its either too early like 11am or damn late at 11pm. This is what i got from searching online. Is there any bus like 3pm??

It's depending what u wanted..for shopping & no beach goto Kuah. If u wanted be close to beach, goto Cenang, Tengah, or Pantai Kok area.

Perdana Quay, is very secluded and only wth 1 row of shop houses & upmarket restaurants. The last I was there, there is no hotel at Perdana Quay...but they are constructing 1 upmarket hotel there..dunno completed already or not....

BTW, check post 1 in front page for summary of whatever discussed here
