Volkswagen owners are recalled to replace the dsg gearbox and alter something in engine too....

this is because the all volkswagen user are facing engine problem and gearbox problems......

It's their oil issue actually. From what I heard, their engine oil depletes real fast and SC decided to top up the oil for them FOC in a way to "close the case" some of them did voice out their demand to change the whole engine but SC challenging them to do so.

cause they mentioned that for 1000KM their fuel will not depletes more than 1L if more then they will change.
but if they found it's less than your warranty is void.
well this is what i heard anyway. gearbox is a long issue unsolved.

currently cars that like to cucuk my car on hways are as below....

1. vios (i don't know what his problem)
2. wira, waja, neo (this group always like to cucuk every car)
3. myvi (lighter car, faster car,duh)
4. forte (yes...our true enemy) but sometimes they afraid to cucuk....maybe theirs 1.6
5. others car are ok

but the cars that i like to cucuk... all 2.0l cars...camry, accord, focus, forte, civic..... except turbo cars of course...
life in a fast lane....yeah right......

Camry's angle is good, facing out rather than facing down, you can see the object when not too near.

But Elantra's camera is facing down more than 45 degree, you only see the object if it is within roughly a meter away. I complaint the camera angle to SA, he didn't say anything. I asked him whether can adjust the angle up, his response is cannot.

I can say the HU and Reverse Camera are the only things that pull me off a little bit..

we went back to the shop, they say its due to the thick demister, if redo again result will be the same... and this is from Huper Optik.. i scared the demister will be damaged if i redo again..any advice? in the case if they still refuse to redo, what shud i do?

who is the toyota official partner  for that ?

Space wise I felt ours are wider maybe its just me.
Comfortable level since their 1.6 is not leather can't compare apple to apple but for the 2.0 leather seats its quite ok.
Like I mentioned, their 2.0 comes with ventilated air cond for the driver. So no more hot seats or sweaty backs n butt on a hot day. Thy have back ventilated air cond also.
Bumpiness seemed like theirs more lesser maybe due to the larger rim size 
Didn't managed to get the body weight to compare though.
Their insulation quite good also. Slamming the door seemed solid.

May I know how long your maintenance free battery last?

Those who already change new car battery, is it by SC advise or you unable to start ur car? Any telltale signs before kaput?

Trying to gauge the lifetime of Elantra's battery. My car already 1year plus...

No rattle? That is a tough call. Used to own 2 German prestige cars from different era and both rattled! It is part and parcel of vehicle ownership. Of course if you spend more, the rattles get lesser. You pay for what you get.

My present Elantra, no rattle from the dashboard but the doors squeeks when going through bumpy roads. My Forte dashboard rattles but the doors are quiet when going through bumpy roads. My 15 year old Honda City, god forbid.... My ex-Dugong... an orchestra until I had to take the dashboard apart myslef to rectify some of the rattles and squeeks. Lesser noises but still there.

Now what I do... turn up the volume of the radio!

Hi flashg, I share your same sentimental, those squeeking noise really annoying, i try to apply the silicon lub (SA also did the samething)  on all the wheather strip and manage to minimise the noise, but not for long when the lubs dry out or gone after rain, the noise came back.

could it be the rubber lining rub against car body the  when the car body flex on uneven road? I was thinking adding some foam around the door step so that when the door is close, the rubbing lining is rubbing against the foam instead of the metal. not sure it work or not or whether this is the root cause

Hi bros.... Wud wanna ask if u brother gang tis problem.. Whenever u drive into tunnels or poor reception signal or radio, the station ure tuned in will auto change to other radio stations.. Any remedy for tis???
