How about the toggling of 3G-Edge ??

on my 6.1 when i switch back to 3G, it takes a while before 3G signal appears...not immediate

i have no issue on 3g-Edge

i just hope they fix the cellular data issue where it constantly stuck at EDGE when you turn it on and after sometime only the 3G kicks in.

As already stated by me and some forummers, this problem is caused by your Network Provider. Namely Maxis, Celcom, Digi etc. So far only Maxis users complained of such problems. This problem has nothing to do with IOS6.1 or anything. You just need to go to your Network Provider and get your NanoSim replaced. Those who got your your nano sims from them will get it replaced free while those who cut will get charged. So far those who got their nanosims replaced don'tt face this problem anymore.

I have updated my iPhone 5 the 6.1.2 this morning. Nothing much different since the update is meant for the Exchange Calendar bugs. Battery performance is still the same.

Thanks for the feedback..

I have just updated to 6.1.2 and let's see if it improved the 3G-Edge-3G tonggling..

Cos when i was on 6.0.1 , i didnt have such problem until 6.1

So if it's the same in 6.1.2 , then I will have to Q up at Maxis centre to change my sim....sighzzzzzzzz

I've changed mine already. And I can tell you the nanosim is the problem. Issue was admitted by Maxis staff and the Maxis centre. After changing the nanosim, no such issues anymore. Apparently this issues only affect some users.

6.1.2 is just a minor update of about 12mb. This is just to address some bug issues with the calendar. Dont think it will bring a lot of difference though. whistling.gif

some said encountered problem in 6.0.1 some in 6.0.2 and some 6.1.

me in 6.1, where battery drain quickly. and some said bcoz of exchange email. so i restored back thru itunes then reset all setting, change push to manually for gmail and exchange. 1st time usage used until phone off then charge using battery doc. well, battery improve much better. now, edi released 6.1.2. even others wont encounter problem in their device, we dunno how luck we are after update it. so 50/50. but those review sometimes helps u too. but the decision is urs.

I discovered this on my iphone 5.. Battery life improve tremendously compare to IOS6.0.1. I am coming from iphone4 user to iphone 5. So, when i got iphone5 i will RESTORE from iphone4 to 5.

Now in IOS 6.1 i do this
1.) I do a fresh installation of IOS 6.1 & with jailbreak.
2.) This time i did not RESTORE my backup and setup a new.. Since i use icloud, all my contact remaind.. The rest start new
3.) Battery can stay until 11pm with 20% left after unplug from charges daily at 8am in the morning..

You may want to try my suggestion above.. I don't think i will upgrade to IOS 6.1.2 since i am not Ms Exchange user and i am not affected with the bugs that drain battery.

With 3G always turned on? If so, I would say your battery life really good! I'm still wondering should I update or not. I also sometime face the 3G issue, wonder is it really just nano sim prob hmm.gif

After update to 6.1.2 & jb. I think my high battery drainage remain the same, eventhough i use my company exchange email. I guess no diff at all from 6.1. Didnt mind that much bout the battery usage.

I beg to differ. When I was with 6.0.1, I do not have this 3G/Edge problem. Only after the 6.1 upgrade then this issue surfaces.
Same phone, same nano sim card.

Do update us if the 3G bug is fixed - though I doubt it as it seems Apple only releases this update to address the Exchange issue.
