i talked to william. he said that he will try to get more similar promos like this later. because he referred to this sale as promo, i think it will return to its normal RM999 later.

oo...like that better buy 2 or 3 unit...can sell with higher price later. even thou used.

The DA 50 1.8 has a plastic mount? No quick shift focusing? Mhh... I think I need to fumble around with it first... I shoot a lot of video, so I quickly use the AF, start shooting and continue with manual focus. That wouldn't be possible, and if the manual focusing ring isn't good...

Wait. No distance scale?! At this point I don't think I even have to look at the lens anymore. That is pretty much a deal breaker.

if you want those things on your 50mm lens, i suggest it is better to get the Pentax F 50mm 1.7, around RM700-800.

Yeah, but paying so much for an old non-AF lens is a bit... ridiculous, and I wouldn't mind the AF.

I mean... as long as there is a distancing scale and perhaps the hyperfocal scale I'm willing to live with it. And how much does it cost? 1 cent in ink? I find it hard to understand why they'd remove this. I guess it'd be possible to write on the lens, but selling it would be quite hard...

But that Pentax F 50mm 1.7 is an AF lens, not MF lens.

Ooooooh sweet. But the price tag... Maybe I've got the chance to check it out tmr. I mostly need the distance scale for lenses with high DoF... i.e. something like the 18-55. On a 50mm I have a better chance of being able to see if I'm in focus on the screen. I need to try out the lens...

user of 2nd hand Kx. when i press the shutter release button, nothing happens for 10-15 seconds, then the camera snaps a picture. this only happens on certain modes like landscape or portrait, etc. This can happen even under broad daylight and snapping pictures of mountains (shutter speed automatically at 1/1000 or something fast).

Due to this i'm only using SCN mode which is fine.

Wondering what i did wrong.
