Rei7 Actually, i have a laptop beside me for the map with the grids (full zoom, 1 grid = 100m) from dayzdb with a ruler, i calculate the distance for zeroing. haha. from the distance i am able to know where the bullet will hit.

bullet drop yes, but compensate it with zeroing the scope. over 800m, then have to aim higher. and the scope is stupid, need to aim slighty higher right of the target.

for target assessment i see whether the survivors have other company or not. i waited like 30 minutes to know today's group have 4 people. check for their weapon types (i always target those with mosin first) wait for them to stand still and start shooting. if theres only 1 unarmed person i usually just let them go.

the ultimate sniper trick is actually to reduce the FOV to its lowest, that gives maximum zoom. becuz most people have high FOV they will not be able to see me unless they use the same technique.

Hope this help to lyn members & any random ppl out there reading this. just sharing.

edit: try to find empty fresh restarted server n train sniping with the zombies. Try shooting zombies at the balota town from the apartment which is usually 900m and more.

gotta be careful nonetheless. i got shot in a 2 player server. so that time i know who shot me.

if ure alone, always check for player list for any familiar names and match with the lyn group, they could be LYN members.

if you are joining server with lyn member inside, pls steam chat private them telling you are going in and your location. just like most of us did.

Seems like starting yesterday, servers are getting lesser from SG. probably too much servers running around thus, the game are mostly less populated. today Phonzy & I noticed the pings are slightly higher (60-70ping) rather than usual 10-15. might be because of less server forcing more people to populate and cause higher pings. but i tried with higher ping like US servers with 200+ping. its still playable except the desync issue are still there.

Today's session. played during afternoon only. sry guys cant play at night. i like to ss my kills =P


i think this is the farthest kill i had from the apt. could be 900m.

these 2 guys is up on the sniper mountain when 2 other chinese player came in my apt. managed to kill 1 of them but the other ended my life. apt is no escape.

so.. i respawned and decide to go for M4 before the next patch the numbers of M4 to be reduced.
got 2 kills only

common weapon spawn place is inside office/school building 2nd floor in small room, fire station, jail building. other buildings just items, clothings & foods.

check out dayzdb.com they have whole map & read the guides inside it.. and oh! dont trust anybody (random ppl) in the area with weapons, or axes, or fists.

Mostly each town have their own signboard at every road entering it which is in russian. Match the words with the 1 in the map u will know where u are.

most towns have sign at road entrance.

update is 415MB, just go to dayz properties > opt for beta and it downloads the update. so when they shifted to beta no need donlod ni more... maybe a bit more... hehe
