Yeap, have tried that. Was my first flashed kernel on my N4. Alternated between that and motley but somehow, the same thing. The past few days i've been getting HSIC wakelocks.

Could it possibly be the rom? AFAIK, this is a kernel issue but it couldn't hurt to try a fresh flash since the only real difference from before and now are new version of my rom. Tried the same versions of previous kernels but to no avail.

QUOTE(TwoJay @ Feb 7 2013, 04:23 PM)
If i'm not mistaken I tried that before, not sure why I changed back to motley/Franco though. I remember motley was working really well for me up until a few days ago. Was really good before that.

Any ideas on why I suddenly have this wakelock on these kernels?
*

from what I have read, you are seeing this intermittently? can you tie it to a specific action that you do? hsic wakelocks occurs when data connection is turned on, and it shouldn't haunt you back after a few days of minimal hsic wakelocks. mind sharing your setup?

QUOTE(sebastianX11 @ Feb 7 2013, 04:28 PM)
Honestly guys, how often do you flash ROM nowadays?
Used to flash everyday for my galaxy s vibrant and nexus
But now I'm lazy.... Hehe
*

QUOTE(faiz2036 @ Feb 7 2013, 04:36 PM)
With nexus 4, i also lazy to flash lor. haha. already penat flash2 rom. maybe so many years do this thing.

now i just sit back and rilex, just flash the stable release only. not flashing nightly rom and beta kernel.
*

sama lah! I flash a few ROMs in my first week of getting the N4. now just stick to a ROM that I am happy with and just update the stable release of my fav kernel. plus, you wont be able to test a kernel if you just use it for a day or so, i normally do a one week test, unless the kernel is buggy then i'll restore my normal kernel before the one week period.

the only ROM that i look forward to try is AOKP steve's build. but might wait until things settle down first. N4 ROMs are still doing a lot of coding. not all features are back yet iinm. I do see myself settling down with AOKP in the future. the extra goodness are nice

Current setup. Was on Franco for the past 2-3 days, just changed to this. Maybe I'll see if it stabilizes over the next couple of days first.

with my previous Samsung phone, i used to tweak rom and kernel like crazy... i was so happy to get rid of TouchWiz which take up so much RAM and everything.

now with pure Android in Nexus 4... i m tweaking as little as possible. the stock kernel and rom is actually very good already... i checked XDA, even those using latest kernel with all kind of tweaks, etc... performance and battery is not better than my phone.

recompiled my kernel with linaro again with some minor tweak on the max freq and further undervolting since my phone has been stable in the past couple of days. Gained a some memory.

1.4Gb free RAM on stock kernel

1.5Gb free RAM by repacking kernel

Not when it's grey out.... Try to access Google services when it's grey out
And try to off data... It will grey out and I'm pretty sure you can't use any Google services.... Lol
