I have the same setup with you.

SGP Ultra Crystal Dual + Diztronic Matte Black TPU Case

Very satisfied with this Diztronic and sometimes I switch to Nillkin hard case.

Why cover the bling bling back? That's the trademark of nexus 4.

hmm... so that is why thinking of getting the transparent case. drool.gif

Guys, my phone is 1 day old. I still got the screen protector both side.
Always, prevention is better than cure right?

I'm planning to coat it with Maguire's sealant.
Ok x?

+1.

Taking about lag, nexus 4 users should be grateful for the new jelly bean (4.2). Most other phone still using 4.1. Smooth and performance are part of the most important update in this new jelly bean; especially on web browsing and 2d scrolling.

http://developer.android.com/about/versions/jelly-bean.html

Hopefully more app developer will start to take use of the new render script API too.

4.1.2 is quite smooth nod.gif, for sure 4.2.x should be better brows.gif

will tested custom rom 4.2.x on my s3 soon since I did my sempai using one on his s3. Walauih rclxm9.gif

will give Franco another go! Three cycles at least. I remember anarchy is using the latest one right?

Btw regarding UV, I have just glanced through the previous pages and I read that some people are having problems with UV.

1. Most custom kernels have a stable UV-ed table built in if your cpu binned is fast or faster, so a safe UV is already done out of the box.

2. Further UV is possible, however not all chips work the same even though they have a 'better' binned cpu. I remember reading in faux thread where a user with faster was only able to go - 100 while another user can go - 150 stable on his fast binned cpu. So your mileage may vary, and that is normal.

since u are using r62..i wan to ask..will r62 will keep online for 4 cores?or only use it when necesary?
While i am using r53, i use perfmon to monitor my cores usage. I tested when i play subway suffer it only use up 1 core only, while playing undead slayer, it sometimes will get up to 2 cores. But it is still smooth...

since u are using r62, the core management is good??did this revision did any better improvement compare to r53?

i read in trinity and motley, u can use this in terminal to determine online cores:
echo 4 > /sys/module/auto_hotplug/parameters/min_online_cpus

haha i read that too^^ but rather than setting it manually, it is no point that i i bought a quadcore phone right?hehe...i just want some smart core management that can be function in intelligent way.

Because i found out that r53 is quite stable enough, while i am quite wondering abt r62 since there are not much good review there...but since anarchy bro using that with 6 hours SOT, it is quite impressed! haha...so i am asking for the core behavior lol...

from my understanding, not all apps/games are optimised for quad core
smoothness of the game also rely on the game itself. a dev can easily create a laggy / buggy game

tool? Any custom recovery will do. Just remember to use the stock kernel reset zip in motley's or faux thread when switching kernel if you are using stock rom.

If you are using a custom ROM, dirty flash your ROM again when moving from a custom kernel to another.

Kernel choice is subjective, all have their different perks. So many to try, franco, faux, motley's, trinity, harsh, matrix, intersect raven, bricked and others that I can't remember now.

I am going to franco latest kernel soonish. Oh I use es file explorer,

that command will set your minimum number of core to be 4. not good for battery.

to view number of min core, use this:

cat /sys/module/auto_hotplug/parameters/min_online_cpus

if your kernel support auto_hotplug, the core management already take care of number of core depending on cpu usage.
