In SC for 10k service now, looking at the 408T with euro kit. Touch on it, feel like it's just hard plastic.
Tried to approach to the customer service. Asked him that If I can install the Euro Kit on my old batch 408, he asked me:"What Euro Kit?"
"Body Kit"
"Oh, body kit, body kit belum ada lagi la! "
"Tak ade?  (I am pointing the show car with Euro Kit to him), itu la "
Then he showed me a surprise face, he go check check on the show car, obviously he don't know about the new batch Euro Kit 408.  doh.gif

I checked with the SA, understand that 408 without Euro Kit is no longer available, except 2012 stock. Now all 408 comes with Euro Kit with a price increase of 3K.

if u touch the side skirt from the bottom, u will be surprised

by the way, the cons of bodykit is the side skirt collect dust easily and it is hard to reach when washing your car

Actually it's fairly expensive if you compare it to a Japanese C-segment equivalent. It's about 25% to 30% more expensive than compared to a Corolla Altis for example, even if compared to the new Civic, under the worse case scenario, the cost of servicing is still at least nearly 15% more expensive. Granted, the pricing looks like it's for the turbo variant, so its understandable if it cost more to maintain but does the NA version share the same maintenance pricing? If so, then it's quite an expensive car to own.

i'm assuming the cost of maintenance for 408 is more expensive than some japanese D-seg car

I ady got a copy for both 1.6 and 2.0 service schedule. But no price available as they don't want to compromise on the price due to the floating of engine oil price. Will upload it once I got home.
Btw, I am at JB EuroFrance Peugeot.

Mr Zweimmk there is a fan (i hope) and not a owner. He drives a passat. So he may not be the most reliable source of reference.

We get together to share our "motion n emotion"

(Bro P408T : I've no intention to tembak you.. hehehe.. smile.gif

i dont mind that hehe
reason behind is that i saw too many malay family men approaching showrooms during my test drive. but they went after 3008 mostly and hence i got this on my mind as well.

I actually have full service records and pricing of

Corolla Altis 2008 ~ 2012
Camry 2007 ~ 2011

I also own the latest Honda Civic 1.8s as well and have access to pricing of the 2.0s versons as well as the Civic Hybrid.

I'm very interested to know how much the Peugeot 408 cost to service in comparison to the Japanese makes. I'm also doing the same to various VW models as well to serve as a check.

If Kenso's guide is accurate, then 20% ~ 30% price difference is actually quite a big gap if the pricing also applies to the NA variants.

10k service for the latest Civic 1.8s or 2.0s cost only RM250. 10k for the Peugeot ??? cost RM316.30 - that's at least 20% difference in price.

Attached File  NA_Service_Schedule.pdf ( 1.14mb ) Number of downloads: 881

Attched both Turbo and NA service schedule.
Actually Nasim just bring forward some service part from 60K to 40K and 50K, which make the cost of 60K lesser.
The schedule attached was not updated for that.
Rough cost of each service:
10K: <Rm350 (free labor)
20K: <Rm500 (include labor)
30K: <Rm500 (include labor)
40K: <Rm900
50K: <Rm900
60K: <Rm2,000 (mostly is due to the gear box oil which cost around Rm1,400)

Ok that sounds a bit more reasonable for 2.0NA but still a little on the high side as far as pricing is concerned.

Good info, thanks for sharing.
