I didn't pay attention to this aspect of charging my ex-streamyx bill. probably like astro I.e. charged in this billing period for use from todays bill till next bill.

I used to pay RM130 excl gst, incl RM30 discount after I unsub the force-bundled-hyyptv-addon contract on top of basic hypptv

during sign-up I was asked to pick a hypptv package (I think it was along the line of malay/chinese/indian bundling).

didn't pay much attention back then because my aim was the 8mb/s and not replacing astro.

so when contract is up I strolled to a random tmpoint and asked to unsub hypptv.

then only I learnt there's basic channels and there's the add-on that I unsubscribed.


- all hypptv channels that are and might be of interest to me are all preview channels, requiring extra subs for each.

- I took readings - with an 's' - even for sd channels, it consumes ~5mb/s on a best effort 8mb/s !

rather than doing it that and loosing "loyalty", freedom from contract, going to bottom of the queue in port requests, loosing current POTS number, etc etc, you might just go buy new modem on your own.
