If I change from unetp to unet, the QoS change back to the original one, 42 mbps (DL), 8mbps (UL)

ok since it's confirm just a change of APN, gone is my idea to get VPN biggrin.gif
2Mbps DL/UL is tolerable for me when I need them, other then that I'll change back to private IP, especially during PPS sessions biggrin.gif

last time i read on maxis forum they say need letter from company to activate public ip also?

just a note about using Maxis Public IP (unetp) to host anything. You won't be able to access it from another Maxis 3G/LTE connection. It is how they design the backend routing. Kind of inconvenience I'd say.

For example,
I have a modem at home using Public IP to host a IP Camera. When I go outside, I can't use a smartphone with Maxis SIM to view the camera. It only work if you're using Celcom, Digi, etc. I'm using VPN as a workaround to view it on a Maxis SIM since VPN will route through a different gateway that Maxis'.

Speed for Public IP is burstable even though QoS stated 2Mbps DL/UL.

no worries. it means that although the QoS says only 2Mbps Download or Upload speed, you'll still get more than that on actual use. Hope this clarifies. wink.gif

on another note, I don't have any issue using my company's VPN which uses Cisco VPN solution.

I'm supposed you'll need to test it out to see if the VPN works.

For the burst, it's inconsistent like any other 3G connections. I can get up to 5-6Mbps download speed depending on the time of the day as well as the load and maximum speed of the cell tower. In my area, the maximum speed I ever clocked on a normal private IP connection is around 10-12Mbps on a DC-HSPA+ network and it's during graveyard shift.
