Even if you bring it to tribunal, the most they would offer you is to refurbish and recondition the car to new meaning to rectify all the defects. This is definitely a new unit but it was left in the port for too long.

What? How is this possible? Lol. I feel sorry for you. So are they bringing in a new one now?

Yesterday, 18/01/2013, happily going from kedah to penang to collect my new Honda car. The journey had taken us 2 hours long, yet my family and i went back home with nothing but with frustration.

Problem found:
1. Correct colour? Whole car Pearl white turning into yellowish colour, especially the door handle..very obvious...
2. Smooth and clean surface? definately no. (refer to photo below)
3. Odometer reading <10km? No, it is 44km already.
4.Electric Folding Mirror? Working, but the signal lamp cover faded!!!
5. Steering control, the writing is faded...!!!!
6.Front Seats & Rear seats (clean and plastic covered)? Front seat with no plastic covered at all.. yet the fabric colour is different compared to rear seats, suspected the seat been used for long time already.
7. Arm Rest with broken piece of fabric!!!!
8. Some of the panel within engine compartment with sticker label already faded, seems had been washing for few times already.
9. Many parts within engine compartment becoming rusty, yellowish, thick dust covered within.
10. Whole Front grill got long thick water and dust marks, which is hardly to be removed by using polish.
11. There is disgusting finishing under the doorstep (left and right side) which is totally unbearable.
12. Four new tyres without 'torns', worst stil the tyre is made in 2nd week of 2012, AP released in Febuary, which mean Honda Malaysia is poorly trained their dealer in allocating the stock with 'first in first out basis.'
13. The new exhaust pipe is now rusted during collection.( suppose to be sparkling shine), suspected the car had been travel for quite some months already.
14. ABS unit within engine compartment is rusted...
15. Front and rear bonnet, spotted repainting marks and rusted part is still there, the dealer failed to hide their ugly side.
16. 'Hand roll curtain' located in rear bonnet, spotted defect mark on the curtain.
17. New car smell is no longer there, like buying a second hand car.

last year i just bought my new honda city... i also having a lot of the problem... some of the screw are lost and some of it are loose~ thus, i decide this is my last honda car==... i would not buying honda car again.

when did you order it?

then i will buy this car at recon car price but not at new car price lor...and then sell it off=)

end of december , if not mistaken deposit paid on 24 or 25 december 2012..

hahaha, joke of the century. Childish thinking, I doubt they would even bother to entertain your request. If you delay any longer, your car would just sit at the showroom.

are you mentioned that you wanna the 2013 car?? because most of car factory; if you wanna to 2013 car, you have to wait roughly february then only can get the car

CNY is coming bro, if i insisted spread this news thru media, newspaper , ahah... I guess most of old folk will think twice not go for honda...

CNY and raya sales is the crucial moment to grab sale volum i tell you...

Mind you, i ever submit ttpm complaint MOG , even MAXIS, at the end, they treat me well.....

I don think Honda is bigger than Maxis anyway....hahah.....

lol, I dont even work in Honda. Its a futile attempt anyway since our consumer law is so weak. Chasing after the company wont give you any resolution. From the way you post, I can see you are either still studying or haven't bought a car before. I have been down this road many times and this kind of thing dont just happen to Honda but also applies to other car make.

You should instead request the sales assistant to allocate the car away to another buyer and then wait. Otherwise, the only option you have is to cancel the booking and incur a penalty fee.
