I'm still on stock as I am not sure what feauture I will lose on custom rom. I love the multi-window feature and thats why I'm seriously looking at this ROM.

I played with my bro Note 8 which he bought last week. I noticed :

1. Cannot enter into menu when lock screen seems failed to detect my fingers. Once inside menu, the touch wiz seems working fine.
2. Internet browsing very very slow. But using wifi for browsing is fine.

Any users facing the same problem?

Never had any such issue and been using it on stock ROM since 4.1.2 (with both stock and custom kernel). If brand new unit, send for warranty check (you can ask for reflash of firmware as well).

If used, maybe reflash yourself and do factory reset...

if your bro using magnetize flip case, try remove it and use it "naked".

I still see Note 8 in stores. Some Samsung resellers might stop bringing Note 8 stocks in as it is not really popular, or maybe a replacement is eminent therefore Samsung is cutting supplies.

design wise, i think tab 8 is nicer than note 8... hope fully next iteration should just follow tab 8 design

You can stay on stock kernel if you want, but if you want improved battery life and fix for S-PEN alignment, you should go to XDA and check out CivZ-SphereXtreme kernel.

I don't use custom ROMs but if I did, I would choose "CivZ-FLEX-BEAM-REV3.0"

Will try remove the magnet casing. Now in testing period. Hope will resolve the issue.

1 thing i notice regarding all Samsung tab (Note 10.1', Note 8', Tab 3 8inch) when using data for browsing extremely SLOW compared using wifi. Using Hotlink full bar with H+ still like a snail. Even can't load Play Store. Wonder what is wrong here. Tried morning & night time with different hours still the same. Haih...
