Nope..alignment okay. Same as before updates.

Got my note last saturday.. seemed that I got same issue like you after the update.. and finally resolved after some try n errors when I found that my case was the true culprit.. wrong back flip caused it auto off (screen) and when u manually on it the touch screen could not responsed to your finger, but no issue by using the s pen.. so I hv to makesure the foldeble edge (where the magnets placed in the case) sit at the left backside of the tab or it will auto off again.. the rest issues still unnoticable n here me another happy owner..

Did you notice that some of the custom ROM has miniapps enabled for Note 8. Would be good if Samsung would include this in their next update

Hi there, i got my note 8 recently and sas from here mayn ppl talk boutt rooting. So, isit actually same as 'jailbreak' in apple? I thinking to root my device too. But, do i need to install any ROM after/before rooting which i cant really find the proper way fron internet... hope someone can guide/help me here.....

No..there's no need need to flash any custom rom or kernel in order to root your Note.
Try use framaroot one click app to root your Note.

Just got an update from Samsung today... alignment problem fixed.

Updated few minutes ago. Only tested on the alignment.

The download is very slow Zzzzz....

Installed and updated. Didn't see any different.

I thought I will get the new SNote and SPen function

About 61mb update. Not a major one but it fixed my alignment problem.

Still at 4.2.2...right..?
Any new features should be coming with 4.3 firmware.

Hope Air Command will be one of the goodies

I have purchased an unbranded smart cover with auto wake / lock feature which I found not working. But I have tried to install flip cover apps from play store and found it working.

Is it normal that we need to install third party apps to get the cover working? If no, how can we enable the default settings? Thanks guys

There is a magnet sensor in upper left quadrant to activate 'hardware type' sleep/wake function, other than Samsung official book case, some 3rd party cover has that (like some from Rock and Baseus). Otherwise you have to use the proximity sensor apps which helps to wake and sleep with those cases.

Haha...Air command surely will be nice to use since our Note 8.0 have bigger screen and thicker SPen to hold.

Thanks. I have ordered another case from ipmart yesterday and expected to get it today. I'll try that too. In my opinion, I saw that the magnet is not strong enough compared to my S4 Unbranded S View case which sleep/function works well.

Will we get android 4.3. I just cant find any official announcent made by Samsung on the matter. If you happens to read any, please post about it here.
