Quite okay..so far roughly the same as Note2 though I believe it can be better once the tablet have a few full charge cycle

You have a lots of songs..?
It takes some time for the initial scanning. Leave it for a few hours. Your songs will be shown in the Music player after that.

Use sdcard is the easiest way...I think.
Plus..Titanium backup if you root the tablet.

Ehh..bro..all pics and music and videos...you put into your Tab sdcard. Then transfer/put that sdcard into your Note8"

For apps and games data..you can use Titanium backup app.
But you need to root your Note8" also.

You put your TB files in your Tab sdcard. Transfer that sdcard into Note8". Then download TB app from market. Now you can restore all your apps and data.

Here the link bro.
Try framaroot on your Note8. Just need to download and install the apk. Easiest way to root your Note8. No need pc or anything. But make sure you read and follow all the steps tho..

Most of us here use this tablet as a secondary phone as it's quite cumbersome to bring it along everywhere everytimes.
This tablet size quite big you know..won't fit into your pants pocket.

You mean like SGP Ultra Cystral and Ultra Clear..?
Ultra Crystal harder to scratch while Ultra Clear is more softer and clearer but quite easy to scratch.
Check with SGP Steinheil official website for each SP rating.
