I flash the new 4.2.2 via MobileOdin.
No..you won't lose your data or your root when flashing via MOP. But..it always good to do a backup first before flashing.

Mine after update..no problem.
Am not into networking so dont know bout wechat or tango.
But candy crush played just fine.
Battery not very sure as i found quite the same as on 4.1.2 but right now am working outstation for two days already and i leave my Note 8.0 inside my drawer. Don't know how long the battery will last if left untouch...lolz
Just hope the battery won't dry up till kaput.

Will be back tomorrow and see how it goes...

Hmm..did you do any factory reset after update..?
I always do factory reset right after any updates coz it usually make things smoother. .less problem as all the redownloaded apps get optimize with the new firmware.

No need custom kernel if you wanna root your phablet.
If you already on 4.2.2 then you can use CF-Auto root.
If you still on 4.1.2 then you can use framaroot where the app do the one click root for you.

I use framaroot when I'm on 4.1.2. Don't know whether framaroot can be use on 4.2.2 or not.
You can give it a try and see..

But i didn't ask bout the price...sorry

Not sure whether SME gonna bring the LTE version in.
Experience between these two version is quite the same except having much faster 4G network. The rest of the specs is identical.

Here's a few tips.
1. The price more expensive.
2. Have a word 4G at the back cover.
3. Model number is GT-N5120 instead of N5100

Ahh...after leave my Note unattended for 3 days...the battery still have 82% left
Been using 18% battery juice for whole 4 days (idle mode)..
Very good...am impressed. .!!!

You need to try a few times to get the OTA updates depending on your luck...lolz
or you can try update via Kies
or manually update vis Odin

or go to service centre and ask them for free update.

Yeah..my SPen working without problem.
There some user that says their multi windows features got problem after updating 4.2.2 via OTA.
I do think a factory reset solve that problem.

Tablet need quite big bezel otherwise your hand will be holding the screen instead of its bezel
