It is weird the mileage increase over time. If 100% city driving, when new I barely hit 200km for RM50. Now after 5000km driven, I can get 250km for RM40 roughly. At highway very stable for me as I feel confident even going 160kmh. Problem? The CVT and drive-by-wire throttle I not gotten used to it yet. Maybe because all along I drive mostly manuals. So far car has no problem at all, and cornering feels quite good

Around 150-160 cornering abit only you will feel floating on the side with no passenger LOL

And pickup from standstill not as expected for a 1.6cc engine
Even Viva engine wins the fight with this 1.6 but handling would be better of course tongue.gif

overall its a good car with good price tag.. no other in its class can beat its price (eg vios/almera/city)
try get saga FLX se, maybe 1.3 engine not enough ummph.. or izzit u want manual version? its better in term of maintenance compare CVT gbx...

for quality, u need to look how much it price.. it price close to viva elite right?
so dont worry too much, if u want it just get it.. all car have pros n con, it depend how u encounter the problems later on..

wadafaq why drag me down water again shakehead.gif

Soza pretty much sums up the whole Saga experience.

As for the additional points robeng added, chapalang material is not just Saga, the same goes for Myvi, and the Dugong which is RM25k more expensive is not much better. Comfy? tell me one new car in that price bracket that is more comfortable than the Saga.

It is a sub RM50k car. What do you expect?

I know you state the fact ah, I din't say you are lying. I just don't agree that you throw these facts out without context.

dont compare the car out of your budget.

state your budget, then list down what car u can get on price that in your budget range.

of course rm40k car have a lot of con if you compare to other expansive car.

so what do you think, what is the best NEW car you can get with your budget range?

if u think Saga is the best choice, go for it.
if Saga quality if to bad, why people keep buying Saga?
yes Saga have quality issues, have many con, but it acceptable on it price lor...

this is Malaysia... for people who in very tight budget, u dont have many choice (for new car).

solid manual 1.3 myvi = rm43k ++
solid manual Saga FLX 1.3 = rm38k ++

high end spec metallic auto 1.5 myvi = rm61k++
high end spec metallic auto cvt 1.6 Saga FLX = rm49++

for perodua viva = high end spec metallic auto 1.0cc rm42k++
price same as standard saga flx auto cvt 1.3cc

with saga you get
-larger boot
-larger cabin
-larger engine
-handling thumbup.gif
-more comfortable (than viva)

if you find con... there is many con, but it up to yourself...
want more comfortable car, dont look out at Proton car...go to BMW/Merc/etc...

event if you buy other car brand with the lowest spec n price, you will get many con...

For that budget n loan period, I would strongly recommend that u:

1) keep ur money and use bike instead atm
2) have at least 30k saving then throw a big deposit for better car with d same 400/mth budget
3) work 2-3 years more than only buy a good car

Im not hate proton. Preve & Exora are good car n mpv. But for saga, it just wasting ur money. 100% i guarantee u will regret after own it. Car is not investment.

This is fepic. By your account, 100% Saga owners are regretting it right now. So much so they wish they bought a bike instead.
