For that budget n loan period, I would strongly recommend that u:

1) keep ur money and use bike instead atm
2) have at least 30k saving then throw a big deposit for better car with d same 400/mth budget
3) work 2-3 years more than only buy a good car

Im not hate proton. Preve & Exora are good car n mpv. But for saga, it just wasting ur money. 100% i guarantee u will regret after own it. Car is not investment.

U can buy a better 80k car by throw a huge deposit and still maintain that 400/mth budget.

Most of u give The Pro but cannot accept The Con.

No wonder ppl look down to Saga owner.

Those above are my opinion and experience. My big family own Saga, Wira, Preve currently.
Not bashing blindly. Im working in DRB-Hicom Group, which of course deal with Proton day-to-day.
I almost buy Exora Bold last month but changed my mind to get Innova instead.

Just my own opinion la on the married one, me just fresh grad of course saga perfect. You want bring 7 people in your saga suit yourself. I brought 3 people on mine and I felt uncomfortable since cabin is not that large.

I never claimed that Saga is not fit for carrying 4-5 passengers at once, it's just my personal opinion and my own personal view of private space. So, I like it when I drive my Saga with just one passenger. That's about it.

I'm not bashing Saga because it's small and etc etc [insert typical bash materials on Saga here] because I love it's size. If I hate Saga then why the eff would I buy one?

And if you want to bring in 4, 5 or even 7 people in your Saga and you are not bothered by that, then that is absolutely, most excellently perfect in my book and I respect you for that. Saga can do that, it all depends on you, the driver.

Seems like I only can decide when I compare all the spec line up. For now, I'm more interested with Saga FLX exec. BTW, what's the difference between FLX Exec and FLX CVT? Proton website are not car noob friendly.

If want full spec + skirting might as well get 1.6SE lor. However, if want manual then no choice, only got 1.3. As for 1.3EXEC CVT, different with 1.6SE different only few thousand, but you get hellalotmore on the SE compare to 1.3EXEC. Power and FC wise wont be that much of different la anyway. So, if can afford, why not 1.6SE leh?

I don't hate Saga or Proton but I hate the color combination . I want auto, enough with manual car. Kuching are getting crowded and smaller. Manual car good if I want to shape both my calf and my arse muscle. I still don't know which one to take as the spec sheet at the website are difficult to compare side by side. I wonder if the white color have white skirting.

And there's another idea, buy a standard or upper class abit of Persona (almost similar to Saga 1.6), after few moment change to leather seat, custom skirting, better player and sound system and other common mod. Hmmm... Bingung. BTW, rear seat for Persona and Saga are same or Persona have spacier rear seat? Next week drive test but just want to ask.
