Actually the kernel can influence performance. In my limited knowledge from having casually used linux over the last 15 years, the compiler flags can optimise the binary for your target architecture, and can provide up to a 10% performance boost. You can compile the kernel from source for YOUR OWN PC and it will give you at least 5% boost.

Sometime last year the Linaro group provided some ARM optimisations that nearly doubled linux performance on ARM, and i think they provided this back to the community. That is why you see some kernel chefs state they have ARMEABI optimisations with linaro flags.
*
isn't the linaro thing not always a performance improvement? Seeing thru lots of CM development on XDA for various different phones, I se some devs saying the compiled using the linaro 4.7 toolchain, and it gave tangible improvements and some other said nothing much in temrs of improvements and for s2 it might have actually made things worse that they went back to 4.6.3( I don't know how is it now however)

compiler flags turned on;meaning u r like adding in more stuffs right? and certain flags are only available in certain kernel versions right? unless it is backported? which is why I was saying that the kernel itself doesn't give the improvements but what is compiled together with it, as in some new features that is only available with the newer versions, but I wouldn't know lol, am not a dev and have only used backtrack 5 tongue.gif(closest thing to linux I've used)

u forgot the part he commented on my post nexus 7 is still stuck at 1 version regardless of OS  , stuck at version 3.0  rclxub.gif
*
and i thought he will know the actual version since he is so particular about the kernel version lol. I dont think its gonna ever move above 3.1.10 unless a new Android version explicitly requires it(just like how ICS really needs 3.0, but I still see some phones which are upgraded to ICS from GB using 2.6, lazy devs doh.gif)

kinda hard to have that kind of specs on a phone, power consumption will be too much, which is why there will be an octa but no full a15 quad.

and yes I mean him tongue.gif
my god the amount of nonsense he calls facts....I remember him saying "a7 use more power than a15, dunno what samsung thinking by putting a7 in there " doh.gif

too many other stuffs till i wanna say something also no mood ready...most probably i will still kena hantam anyways since samsung user are also considered as sheep nowadays  rolleyes.gif

Guys

Normally it would take me around 2 hrs+ to get a full charge. Is there any charger or so called 'fast charger' to chat can charge my Note II less then the quoted time?

Is already fast at 2 hours. Remember the battery size is bigger than most other phones n is already taking in 2A input. I suggest you do not put it to extreme limit further

Would be too dangerous to charge it any faster than it's currently charging. Perhaps you should consider a 2nd battery and external charger.
