owh. now i get it. thanks for clearing that up.

why wanna waste time flashing via odin when we can do it on recovery. (unless for unrooting purposes) brows.gif

If you are on stock and flash a custom recovery, the counter will increase. Once the custom recovery is installed and you flash any zip flash cia custom recovery the counter won't increase.

yup. thanks.

but we cant flash stock firmware via custom recovery right. .tar files are flash via odin only??. i mean zip files are meant to flash in custom recovery but not odin??
it is actually very smooth. battery is gooding to.

this could only be my problem but to wake the screen up after pressing the power button there is a lag of 2 seconds. hmm.gif
*
yes, for stock firmware you can use PC Odin or Mobile Odin. For me I always use Mobile Odin.

Ok I want to share what I found at xda today, this is for people that are having slow charging problem..

read this thread and use the app http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2112811

I am using GN2 charger with Xperia S cable and it gives me 1800mA output average.

Nice one. Are you using his app to monitor the incoming current? I use the Battery Monitor Widget pro readout, but when I actually look at it is during USB charging. I always plug my phone to charge overnight, so I never got the chance to look at the readout at the time.

Anyway, what I can see from the charging graphs is that I'm getting about 30% per hour, so I'm ok with it. Well, this another app to try and compare the readout.
*
yup, I have tried the app and it is a very small and simple app that gives you the reading of the min, max and average current and like I posted I got 1800mA output average.

I never charge my phone overnight as I always switch off whenever it hit 100% fully charged.

tot31 Just tried it, I'm also getting 1800 average, but it did fluctuate a bit from 1400 to 1680 as well.

Using the Nokia CA101 usb cable.
*
means that your charger and cable combo are working well. try it on USB charging and you will some lower values.

QUOTE(joytest @ Jan 25 2013, 07:48 AM)
So...HTC demands a dev to remove all custom roms using the Sense UI

http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1...even_my_custom/

http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/01/24/ht...oms-and-domain/

HTC has generally left the custom ROM community to its own devices, apart from individuals who actively sought to publish unreleased HTC software. This has allowed a thriving Sense ROM community to emerge on XDA, RootzWiki, and other hubs of developer collaboration. But the shuttering of HTCRUU may be a shift to a stance of more active policing for the company.

The shutdown resulted in the removal of all files from HTCRUU, whether stock or custom Sense-based ROMs, and the eventual transferring of the domain to HTC (on grounds of trademark infringement). Any such files in temporary storage (eg, http://androidfiles.org/ruu/) must also be cleared out.
======================
Some of the comments are insightful. Apparently this is not the first PR f/up (for the dev community at least) that HTC has made.

Samsung hasn't gone down this route ... yet ... we only hope they never. Success can bring hubris.
*
A very sad news for HTC users....actually I don't know why I never attracted to any of the HTC products...

What about flash counter? Or even device status?

Flash counter will not increase if you flash any of the official firmwares from sammobile and the status will be Normal as long as you stay unrooted but there is a way to make it stay at Normal even if you are rooted... biggrin.gif
