a very good phone it is. i was just unlucky to have the phone dropped on its face! from waist high.
with the screen facing down, i already have a 50-50 feeling that the screen is cracked.
bent over n grabbed the phone n voila! the cracked screen smiled happily at me.
i dont feel a thing i dont knoe why. i just went "oh no, the screen is cracked" n thats it.
n im a student n im from an average income family so no im not rich at all.
my final paper would be tomorrow morning n i cant wait to work to earn some money n get a hold of this Nexus 4.
i went to samsung service centre in PJ right beside the mazda showroom to collect both Gnex and S III of my friends' yesterday.
talking bout power button, it's all down to luck. the Gnex was just 4 months old n she took a good care of the phone. for the S III, it's all down to luck again. It was dead for no reason n yes he's a careful owner. Both of these devices were of course still in warranty period so they're fixed totally at no cost.
while at it, i asked the price to get my Gnex screen fixed, here's the break down:
LCD screen: RM495.30
Labour: RM100
Total: RM595.30
that's when i realized that i'll never be able to sell the phone without fixing it. that's when i decided to keep the phone as a spare phone.
so when i got my Nexus 4 (God's willing), I dont think i'll be substituting the power button using the volume button. I'll just use it the way it's intended to be used and pray for the best. hehe
oh yes, i didn't have any SP on my current Gnex and i dont use any case at all. so, no wonder why it cracked.
but still i dont think i'll be using any case for the Nexus 4 too. but, who knows, maybe i'll change my mind.
