I called and the support said the 50minutes for iDigi50 are for DIGI-to-DIGI only. But for iDigi 78 and above, the minutes are for all networks. I'm very confused now.

But already ordered and paid (iPhone 6 64GB Grey nod.gif ) I guess I'll be stuck with iDigi 50 for one year now  shakehead.gif

it seems I'm the only one got the far diverted answer shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif from other forumers...

Want to ask , base on the Chart that lowyat made , compare with iDigi 50 and iDigi 78 , it seem the total cost of ownership (TCO) is lower for iDigi 78.

For iDigi 50, TCO = RM 3K for 1 year
For iDigi 78, TCO = RM 4K for 2 years , so 1 year TCO = RM2K only ..

So does it mean that iDigi 78 is more reasonable ?
*
cannot calculate like that, also have to based on your usage.

and keep in mind that, digi data is seperated into mobile data and apps data.

Another 5 times rang DiGi helpline in 5 different times, finally confirmed that my first published information were accurate, only iDiGi 50 the free 200 SMS is DiGi to DiGi, the rest all others are to all networks. Last call to DiGi helpline was answered by Jivee, and she confirmed that. Meanwhile the first DiGi guy was giving wrong and totally misleading answer.

This means all the Bundled Voice Calls minutes for all iDigi plans are for all networks?
*
Yes, except the 200 SMS in iDiGi 50 only to DiGi network.

The rest all networks, included the 100 extra free call and sms.

Thank you!

You're welcome.

I also have to make sure the information I published in my blog is accurate, then only I can do the comparison between 3 telcos as well as no contract iPhone plans accurately.

I don't want to mislead anyone.

If you're not rushing to get your iPhone, I would suggest you to take the advantage of MNP, jump to other telco and jump back to DiGi to get those 100 minute/sms bonuses, but keep in mind that, you might have to pay additional RM 20 (RM 10 mnp out and RM 10 mnp in) stamp duty in this case. smile.gif

why mnp out need to pay extra rm10?
*
stamp duty bro, you pay to your new telco.

for example now you with digi,

and mnp to maxis, then RM 10 stamp duty charge.

then mnp back to digi, another RM 10 stamp duty charge.

so total RM 20.

Malaysia none of them doing very well with 4G, i will stick with plan that suit my usage. In malaysia, you want good coverage, need multiple telco line to achieve i think.
*
if you compare 3 telco on LTE, maxis is the widest coverage at the moment, followed by celcom, although DiGi used to promised they will be the first telco to offer 4G lte and widest coverage, but they did not keep their promise at all.

U'll feel it when u travel out of Klang Valley.
Example, on Karak Highway > East Coast Expressway till kuantan

Maxis having 3G all the way in the highway.
While Digi only Edge and GPRS
*
But in phase II from Jabor to Kuala Terengganu, Maxis has only GSM, no gprs, no edge nor 3G. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

MNP to prepaid, no stamp duty

In this case save RM 10, but still RM 10 stamp duty when MNP back to DiGi.

Business usually try to retain customers but Digi treat existing customers like fools.

New and MNP get 100mins extra Free talk time. Existing customers you tak suka you keluar....  sad.gif  sad.gif  sad.gif

Don't you think that this new DiGi ceo marketing strategy is not that aggressive compare to previous?

Some years ago, whenever Maxis launched new plan, DiGi sure beat them within couple days, but now no more... cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

The time i bought (pre-order) iphone 5 (2 yrs ago) i was treated good by Digi which:-
1.) Stock availability is sufficient for pre-order
2.) Pre-order ip5 customers can choose either courier deliver or self collection at the 1st day launch on 12am
3.) Pre-order ip5 customers who select courier service promised (YES, they made promised during pre-order period) will receive their new iphone 5 exactly on the 1st day launching (if not mistaken they deliver out 1 day b4 launch, i received mine at 1pm on 1st day launch)
4.) They provide the most competitive package i88 (for light usage) compare the the other telco which RM60 for 200min (all network), 200sms (all network), 1GB data.
5.) Although Maxis did offer new ivalue simple RM50 plan to hit digi, but Digi immediately strike back to Maxis with upgrade all i88 plan user to 2GB data instead of 1GB FREE! (I feel really impress on this)

Ok, now look back what they did ?
1.) Pre-order iphone will only deliver out from the 1st day launch onward, and it SUBJECT TO STOCK AVAILABILITY ! ! (WTF is this??)
2.) Offer an unfair / worst package to the existing loyal customer. (plz take note they do not mention clearly in their website for the bundle +100min only applicable to new user)
3.) pre-order are not allow for self collection (perhaps they reserve more stock for walk in customers?? pre-order customers no worry, your unit is secure. (since digi already secure your money, and you may just wait long long-subject to stock availability ^^)

Hurray ^^b

2.) Offer an unfair / worst package to the existing loyal customer. (plz take note they do not mention clearly in their website for the bundle +100min only applicable to new user)

They did, but quite hidden if you did not move your mouse to No 7.

This tricky not only used by DiGi, but all telcos as well.

I think the plans are rather cheap nowadays and are already at the lowest point of profits for Telco's to survive on. Thats why it has been stagnant. On the other hand, you could try UMobile. It is relatively cheaper and mostly doesnt require contract comittment.
*
I doubt it when see the every quarter earning report of DiGi...

U Mobile is not that cheap, if you exceed the call and sms limit, far more expensive than MVNO even.

What I meant was that call charges have dropped drastically during these few years. Consumers have also reduced call time and sms due to usage of whatsapp, viber, line etc. Being so, consumers are the party benefitting from this.  rclxms.gif

Yes, basically it is just as what their website states, everything is for all networks, except if specifically mentioned as Digi-to-Digi (which is the iDigi50 200 DiGi – DiGi SMS)

Also, earlier post by lowyat user rmvalues :
"Another 5 times rang DiGi helpline in 5 different times, finally confirmed that my first published information were accurate, only iDiGi 50 the free 200 SMS is DiGi to DiGi, the rest all others are to all networks. Hahaha~~~

No choice, writing a blog I hope can provide as accurate as possible information.

Somemore currently using MaxisONE plan, call is consider free or charge, can call whatever line to ask whatever question.

MNP itu apa?

i use back my org number but not micro sim... how? need to go digi center?
*
MNP = Mobile Number Portability

Mean allow you to change your mobile network provider (celcom, digi, maxis, u mobile, tunetalk and so on) but retain your current number.

another thing... my current plan is dg smart plan, if i change to iDiGi now, will the smartplan remaining bill charges to be transfered to iDiGi plan for me to settle ltr?
*
it will be pro-rated.

don't worry, it won't be whole month charges.

somemore idigi = smartplan, same features, same charges, but iPhone cheaper.

(although got RM 5 rebate on same smartplan, but compare to cheaper iPhone, still worth.)
