If my current department do not approve and only gimme two choices either stay or resign? If i resign then join other department within the same company...like this consider job hopping? Actually the department i want to join is what i majoring in my degree....plus i have additional certs for the position in that dept...

this kind of case no really a job hopper as u still "circulate" within the same company...

most important that the PIC of the department that u wished to join and the PIC no thinking that you are no a job hopper will be sufficient, you become a "internal job hopper" is want to serve your company better... smile.gif perhaps u do a talk and email to the PIC first before u tender for resignation... hence ur current boss will feel offended and your colleague may talk something bad about ur current boss that you willing to work with other boss rather than him... tongue.gif

Does this job require much travel?

if u don't have much personal & family commitment, you can join Huawei as learning stage for experience only, because Huawei offering mostly contract job only... as contract job, they may kick you out anytime if they doesn't required your capabilities without any compensation...

Pre sales engineer recommended to get some experiences from practical technical field, otherwise it wont be easy to adsorb all the information is everything will be from the book only or thru the product training... it depend on your job scope required for on-site support such as site survey, site requirements, implementation plan...

thanks for ur info wink.gif
U worked for Huawei before?or working at Huawei currently?
*

Huawei found my resume at jobstreet, asked for interview before even though i didn't apply any Huawei position from jobstreet and my working experience no 100% relevant to their products... i doubted that time what type of my capabilities can fit into Huawei but i didn't expecting much from contract position... Anyway, i attended the interview, i can feel that interviewee (from China) are doing "trial and error" without looking on our resume in detail before call for interview... doh.gif
