sorry for the slow respond, last nite working, using ipong to put spoiler very troublesome...

anyway, just wanna say your SF looks really really good, nice choice of color scheme, and those decals are really much nicer than original. Kudos  rclxms.gif
*
Thx bro laugh.gif btw I still have half of the decal remain (coz I didn't use those means for white color surface) need to control myself from making it over-decal'ed like a Christmas tree~ BTW I do 'add' a bit of shading effect on the dragoon system, by using the tamiya weathering tool. But it's not very obvious in photo sweat.gif

it's the same with any transformable kit.. must be handle with EXTRA care.. especially those that are FULLY transformable like Zeta whistling.gif

and yeap, this guy is almost impossible to pose.. since his side skirts are connected to his legs instead of his waist like other kits normally are, so they get in the way of posing.. and we all know how hard it is to pose EX-S whistling.gif this has exactly the same thigh + side skirt section

agree! I only transformed my RG zeta once after completion. Until now I only let it stand there without any pose... sad.gif

here's my Zeta A1 from what seems like a very long time ago

very very nice weathering effect! thumbup.gif

I just made a small comparison for Seed's Gundams, I noticed that Strike Freedom is the most 'traditional' design of all, even more traditional than Freedom itself! No wonder many of bros here prefer destiny over it...

But for me personally, Destiny's wing is great but not my taste... (hee hee I prefer Wing Zero Custom's!) But I have to admit: Strike Freedom's arsenal is boring... just 2 rifles, 8X dragoon canon which you wont take it out most of the time, and 2 beam saber which you will never put on... sweat.gif Red Frame and 00 more fun to pose around ~

QUOTE(limyuyang @ Feb 20 2013, 10:22 AM)
General Nic , I want freedom , no strike.
I have a strike mg already.
*
erm.... Strike Gundam, Freedom Gundam and Strike Freedom Gundam are 3 totally different gundams... I believe General_nic ask you if you're choosing between Strike Freedom or just Freedom alone.

Final round !
Who has a sword impulses mg ( red colour with long sword one ) ?
Does its long sword can balance it ?
One more question , the IJ mg has its own stand ornot ? ( seems like it don't have it )
Now , which one is DA BEST FOR ME ( BEGINNER ) !
*
eh... why ask us for the opinion, choose your fav and buy it, don't worry much about the difficulty, just buy and build it.

BTW, I love this:

Dear lim, if you're referring to Seed, I'll highly recommend this other those 4; Blitz smile.gif
Do some research, tell me what u think....

My opinion:
Freedom- plain
Destiny- quite ok
IJ- huge backpack
Impulse- hate Shin ( kidding, skinny legs )
*
I must admit that this somehow affect my opinion over Destiny laugh.gif (But of course, Destiny is great... but with an emo kid pilot....)

for gunpla fans...own all is a dream..so start with what you like most..and you will own all in the end..

problem is..do you have time to build all...owning all always not a issue by time..
*
Frankly speaking, if just assemble the Gundam, with minimum touch up like flat top coat (I consider nub cleaning, panel lining and decal is basic and compulsory), it wont take too long to complete 1, for example, 1 weekend is definitely enough for a MG. (for me)

However, I'm sure we all will come to a point that we want our Gundam looks better, and start think about PAINTING, and once you start the painting, the PAIN start. A simple MG will need weeks for complete, a PG will need much longer time for planning and building, and might take months to complete the whole thing. (This is base on the assumption that we all working people, who only have 1-2 hours per day and weekend for gunpla)

Imagine buy all the MG and paint them... sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

I don't, don't have that much time on hand, 1 MG kit i take VERY long to do. just sand nub mark, decal and panel lining  whistling.gif
*
erm... understand the nub part... very time consuming if you want it perfect... thumbup.gif what's the average time you spent for 1 MG, 1 week?

QUOTE(mf_yamato @ Feb 20 2013, 11:46 AM)
well, i do just the details currently, like pipes, hydraulics, and some minor painting only,
didn't go through for full paint (unless ahem brand on the other side i do that) smile.gif
*
haha yeah that's one good way to go too. I always paint the pipe in black, then dry brush it with silver. (But I thought MG's hydraulics usually coated in silver color already?)

QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ Feb 20 2013, 11:47 AM)
Guilty as charge. Although i hardly paint the whole thing, mostly i leave the inner frame unpainted cuz it's joint will be very tight and risk stripping off the paint whenever u move it around during posing. I always paint the dark navy blue that bandai loves to use on things that r suppose to be black. (nu ver ka, musha mkii, etc), Why dont tey just mold it in black? rclxub.gif
*
Same here, must be bandai wanna save cost therefore use different color! As for the inner frame, sometime I just struggle over it:

- I think I can hardly see the inner frame after the kit completed
- I feel 'incomplete' if left the inner frame unpainted, while the rest are well colored.
- I decided to paint the inner frame, and go rage...

really love to paint my gundam. But the only problem is it really takes a long time. My 00 Quanta took me 4 to 5 days to complete@@. And now no free time to paint others. The only reason about painting is the satisfaction after finish painting it rclxm9.gif
*
Yes, SATISFACTION, that's the sole reason! BTW you use air brush?

U know... stupid me had been using gundam spray can all along, waste so much money because I keep thinking "this will be the last one"... I think I really need to buy a set of air brush right here right now...

Talk about wrong color, when I build my 00Gundam, I sprayed the WRONG premium, which is dark gray color.... and it spent me around 2-3 days for cleaning and sanding .... doh.gif After completed the kit, I super appreciated it because I took me so much extra, unnecessary effort sad.gif

Hey about the 'pipe' painting on first pic, did you use some tape to avoid painted on other area? or just your super steady hand painting skill? notworthy.gif

Whoa, you cut everything down before assembly? Me usually cut -> nub cleaning -> assembly at the same time. That's why when building Strike Freedom's dragoon almost drives me mad... sweat.gif

SGD110 seems 'affordable' in SGD, but once converted to RM, seems a little expensive.
I'm interested though, will keep an eye out for local sellers and compare prices 1st.
hlj after converted to RM is selling ~210.
*
I checked that, SGD 82 after converted. Not sure how much is it after added with the shipping fees... Srsly I'm looking forward this model. (Big Metal Gear Rex fan here)
