hey guys wanna ask, any of you guys who uses air brush, own a box with fan + exhaust pipe so you can do the air brush in room?

Today one of my friend who doing good in gunpla told me about this, because some of the condo has very tight management and will scold us if we do air brush/ spray can at common area like stair case there... (and spray it in room will definitely screw your room all over the places!)
*
i bought a video equipment cooling exhaust fan, then get a large cardboard box, cut a hole at the back, install the fan at the hole. woahla, my own DIY painting booth whistling.gif

once u have a painting booth, n u wanna spray inside your room, can, but make sure u r spraying at the window, n the exhaust is facing outside

understand that...  I also prefer to do it outside if can...

But according to my friend, the purpose of the box is for you to do airbrush/ spray in room, just put the pipe outside the window, and the exhaust fan 'suppose to' suck the fume out through the pipe. (Not sure if the remain of the ink will jam the fan... sweat.gif)
BRILLIANT!  thumbup.gif  notworthy.gif

Just check with you, is this build strong enough to suck out fume from spray can? or strictly for air brush only?
*
yes it can suck spray can fumes, but since spray can fumes are thick, the fan clogs up easily, so actually it's more for airbrush sad.gif

Mya be I will go buy those cheap cheap green color filter net and put it in front of the fan. But hope it will not 'block' the spray and make it bounce back  sweat.gif
landed property? in that case never need to worry lor~
*
Im put aquarium filter sponge in front of the fan, for AB is good enough, but spray cans it clogs up sweat.gif

Yes I think we're talking about the same item, for the sponge right, is it behind or in front of the fan? (Coz I wonder if sponge will completely block out the air flow)
Can I check, any specific fan you bought? (I'm thinking if I can use those cheap cheap computer fans tongue.gif)
*
the sponge should be in front of the fan, to keep the fan clean and maximise airflow

my first DIY spray booth I used computer fans, it does work, but not so efficient, especially worse when come to spray cans
if you ever been to Low Yat Sri Computer, the place where they sell the fans, I bought the largest and noisiest fan there tongue.gif

that big flat sticker I could care less, but the parts in between that and the body also having stickers, and at curve areas too doh.gif doh.gif

by the way, an answer to your earlier question, yes, my MG Zeta Plus is flat top coated biggrin.gif
QUOTE(waikin_31 @ Feb 27 2013, 10:58 PM)
Wait, has Bandai shown any Banshee Norn Destroy mode yet?
*
nope, I assume they are going to reveal it during airing of Episode 6

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Feb 27 2013, 11:22 PM)
Hmmm, tiny feet. Why now the feet looked like girl's feet?

The additional details are good though. Previous MG Strike looked like a rushed job.
Doesn't this looked awfully similar to NG Blue Frame 2nd L?
*
the old MG Strike feet was a big fat chunk, which was fixed in MG Strike Noir & Strike E
I assume they should be using back the same fixed feet hmm.gif

as for HG Blue Frame, it looks similar to the NG because it's 2nd L?
while the MG is 2nd Revise

QUOTE(TheAdmiral @ Mar 8 2013, 09:12 AM)
sinanju ver ka comes with water slide, regular shinny sticker and clear sticker.
1. for those "warning" stuff its clear sticker.
2. for the gold trim u hav water slide and shinny sticker.

as for why u wouldnt want to use water slide:
1. the edge of the water slide is larger then the parts (im taking bout the clear backing not the gold portion), without trimming it it'll just stick out like a sore thumb.
2. u may not c it from the pic, but alot of those water slide r in 1 piece. For example the knee, each knee is separated into 2 halves (left side and right side) but each halves hav a top and bottom gold trim those trim is not separated, its a single piece so u hav alot of clear backing in between. Since the symbol is elevated, it forms an uneven surfaces and when u try to stick something over it it'll end up looking like crap. For easier reference, just take a look at the regular shiny sticker, both water slide and it r carbon copy of each other in terms of cutting. Notice the black portion, its the same for water slide only in water slide its clear instead of black. But that doesn't change the fact that its there and when u put it on an uneven surface it'll look like crap.
3. the gold trim is suppose to wrap around the part edges, both stickers and water slide the gold trim doesnt extends that far out so it'll look like u stick something on there rather then an actual gold trim parts.
4. the gold is not really reflective
*
finally someone answered my question as to why I've only seen people either use the foil stickers or paint the sleeves but none used the waterslides
thanks for the info Admiral thumbup.gif

Both defenser for sho shld be in the flying pose, AB needed...so guys what u plan to do with the other defenser then? Is it compatible on the blue Rezel?
*
I don't think it's possible as it's not the whole backpack with mount included, so it can't be mounted on normal ReZEL
even if it's possible to mount it, you wouldn't get a full Type-C ReZEL as the side skirts are different

May I know why not all MS gets MG treatment? Some only released in HG only. Because not popular enough?
*
because to make a MG is costly, there are hundreds of HGs out there, imagine the cost to convert each into MG
plus not everyone can afford MG, nor everyone likes 1/100 scale, hence they only choose the MS that is most likely to make profit to get MG treatment

Hmm.. I wonder why Bandai never Milk MG Kshatriya.. I really want one.. sad.gif

is not they don't want, it's in their consideration
but with current technology a MG Kshatriya would cost a bomb, might even priced higher than MG The-O, which might not sell well

there's a reason why so far only MG Nu 1.0 has diecast metal parts whistling.gif
because to make kits with diecast metal parts is costly now, even the 2 most expensive PG don't have sweat.gif
