The back looks smaller compared to the older one. The older one looks bigger.

TCM will strip it and sell. No way will we have the high spec Nissans.
*
370Z and 370ZR. I think that's it.

Not sure about murano tho.

X-trail strip like shit, not even 4WD.

I think this is CBU from Japan, so Tan Chong can't do any cost cutting!

They do. You see the features, quite ripped off.

I really need to rant about Nissan cars now. IMHO.

WTF is Nissan doing? I mean, our own ETC is ruining nissan nowadays.

CVT Gearbox - In an Almera, Latio, it's great. But seriously, they fitted CVT to all vehicles. Seriously, a CVT in a X-Trail, Teana, Elgrand, Murano, Serena?!?!!? Doesn't make sense at all! (Luckily they don't fit a CVT in a GT-R, THANK GOD). CVT only saves fuel but it ruins all the fun. 6-speed auto would be great.

Design - Look at Almera and you'll know what i mean.

Warranty - Seriously?! 3 years only? Most car manufacturers offer up to 5 years warranty. Some with unlimited mileage??

Equipment - Equipment is not really what you call "a lot". They're even so proud that they've fitted a Blind Spot Monitoring System in the Teana, controlled with a switch from the 1980s. And the cars we received here is so ripped off, adui... extreme facepalm.

X-Trail - My family owned one since 2004 and we decided to keep it. Why? It's great! But look at the X-Trail TC brought in these days. 2.0 2WD only. The X-Trail used to be one of the best selling off-road SUVs but now 2WD? 2.0?! CVT??!!

Serena S-Hybrid - Serena is already well known for underpower. Now even worse, hybrid. And the biggest problem of all, the price tag.

I seriously hope that TC would just rethink about what they did. IMHO Nissan is getting backwards nowadays.

obviously you don't know how good and advance is nissan's cvt. go read more. it's different from the typical cvt

they're proud with the BSMS because they can. teana is the only jap d segment in the market currently other than mazda 6 to be fitted which such safety system.

and who the heck told you hybrid is underpowered ?
*
It's still a CVT, boring. Yeah fuel saving but...

I know but they put such a switch in such an expensive car. At least Mazda put some nice buttons like this
user posted image

I mean the car itself is underpowered. I think they too focused on making it a city car rather than long distance.

Plus Halogen headlight on reflector lamps with manual adjustments... Tsk tsk tsk.
Even leather seats are optional... but ok la i'm not big fan of leather seats anyway.

And,

For a promotional period, ETCM will throw in a 6.5-inch head unit with navigation, USB, Bluetooth and rear view camera, worth RM3,300. Optional equipment include a 10.1-inch roof mounted LCD panel (RM700), combination leather interior (RM2,800), window tint (V-Kool or Solar Gard) and door visors (RM400).

At that price you can get a larger, more comfortable recond Estima 2.4

QUOTE(Frustrated Customers @ Aug 17 2013, 08:05 PM)
I ordered a Nissan Serena 2 weeks before Raya. cool2.gif  And had a very very bad experience with the way Nissan manage its sales services and customers.
Firstly, I was offered to trade in my Myvi at RM17K. Then I found out that other branches are offering me 21 - 23K. Hence, I ordered for sales cancellation at this branch, so that I can order from other brance. After 2 days of processing, this branch offered me 23K. OK I ACCEPTED. AND Very regret on this decision doh.gif .

Following this, the branch sales person told me that CIMB always offer the lowest interest rate. After a week, I was informed that the offered rate is 2.59%. I was really frus that time, I personnaly call Affin bank Perak branch manager to check (A friend), he is offering 2.39% to the customer!  mad.gif  With all this hazzels and reapplication for the finance aid, my order had been delayed till after Raya.

Meantime, they told me that my prefered plat no is very hard to get, better to get runner for JPJ registeration. So I decided to work it out myself, and in just 1 hour, I get my prefered platno by only paying RM310, instead of RM360.

Now, the best part, when I am ready to handover my car and pick up my new serena, I FOUND OUT my car is in the showroom, serves as a showroom car, publicly view by the customers  cry.gif . All the internal mats and carpets are covered with sand and foot print. Even worst, the plastic cover for the seats are removed! I cannot imagine a new car I paid, RM149K of a car, is like a used car inside!

Guess what the management of that branch told me? "We have insufficient place to keep your car, if you are not happy to put the car inside as showroom car, we have to put it outside, where it is open to the risk of scarthes, hot sun and rain."

It was a horrible experience that I can ever get with Nissan's sales services. I made complains to the branch manager, sales manager, and at the end do some shoutings vmad.gif  at the sales office and phone calls.

Now the last message that I got was, I will be getting a new, another car, with the offered kits (GPS and reverse camera). Let's see how.
*
You should demand for a brand new car. Lots of SC parked their cars outside under the sun and rain, but at least no people go and touch it, and when they deliver the cars to customers, they do clean it first. It's better than putting inside the showroom and let people mess around with it.

If its in the showroom it should be selling as a "showroom unit", not new car. Ask your salesman to park his car in the showroom and let people mess with it and see.

Checked with SA and still uncertain of when is the delivery date.

They claim that the next shipment arriving is 15th Sept and only then will know how many cars.

Otherwise, next shipment lo  shakehead.gif

Really speechless, how Nissan perform their business? not knowing which order and when deliver....... shouldn't for each order and lock to the system and all the way to the planning, production, delivery, inspection, etc?
*
CBU usually like that. If your car is listed in next shipment, you're lucky loh.

Can any current owners give some comments about the fl Serena? Thinking of getting one to be used as a lorry laugh.gif Not really concerned about passenger space. Most important that the third row seats can be removed.

Plus, can we change the head unit and the speakers? What they offer looks cheap lol.

how hard can it be to go to your nearest SA?

if you're actually interested in the car, go ahead and make your first approach by going to SA and test drive the car.

you want good deal? new car, not much discount.
you want free stuff? say hello to shitty tint.

it'll almost be the same everywhere.
