Wished that my parents do pick the wing spoiler as well. Looks so plain.

Anyway, guys, does anyone have this seat modification for Serena? Looking forward to get this installed on our Serena, if possible, with powered operation and still able to slide the seats around. Old people having trouble getting in and out of the car.

Would be glad if anyone can shine some light on this. Thanks!

the car can hardly move, yet they still throw in eco mode to make things worse.

best fc 7.9km/l

Yah. MIDA and their much touted Energy Efficient Vehicle scheme is a scam. Don't get me wrong, if Serena didn't get the EEV exemption, Serena will cost RM180K and we won't be entitled to the car.

Serena is in the EEV program? it's only because it's CKD hybrid tax exemption right?

btw the reason i got that figure is because my heavy foot. can barely get the car moving.

Taken from the site above "It is due to this special arrangement that the latest Serena S-Hybrid only has about 15% local content but more importantly, it gets to enjoy the special Efficient Energy Vehicle (EEV) incentive, thereby enjoying an even more attractive price range"

Weird on the heavy foot. Cause since I am driving my family I am more lighter foot and achieving 7.4 km per litre. While you get 7.9...

most of the time i'm driving alone. and i don't have a large family. once a week fully loaded only. other than that either only 1 driver or 1 driver + loads of goods.

basically it's a urvan for us but with more comfort ride, automatic transmission and a lot better.

EEV laugh.gif laugh.gif doh.gif hmm.gif How the heck it's considered as EEV when the car barely moves and how do claim that FC? by sticking to 90km/h, turn on cruise control, downhill and reset the avg fc meter? laugh.gif

but most of the time i travel at 130-140km/h on highways. but city drive really slow.

Im currently considering Serena VS Biante. Though initially Im more interested in Biante, after seen the seats configuration for Serena plus its an Hybrid, I have my interest more towards Serena after that.

However, looking at the fuel consumption reported above really suprised me  blink.gif !!! My lexus ct200h 100% city drive clocked in at avg 15.5km/l while mix of highway and city would give me avg 18km/l.

Having said that, I know the difference of car size but I just thunk the FC really justify for a hybrid car. Im sure lots non-hybrid car are much better than these.

Now Im confused  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

do ignore the fc that i report as i'm used to driving turbocharged cars, and the difference is like night and day. so usually i do go hard on the accelerator.

and pls do mind that the hybrid system in serena is only a micro-hybrid system. i understand that the electric motor in ct200h usually kicks in first and then the petrol engine kicks in when more power is needed. it's fun to drive in ev mode. but in the serena is slightly different. the only "hybrid" thing about it is the auto start stop technology. otherwise it drives pretty much like an ordinary car, with starter and everything.

even when the "electric motor" do assist, it'll only be a 1-2 second thing.

I think i would go for a test drive before can judge anything. Thanks for the input though.
Wow... i think thats such a great deal. Leather seat is the only reason that i would go for premium spec, but if they add this in there seems major difference to go for premium.

Or may i know what are the other differences between standard and premium?

Roof mounted LCD panel for rear passengers
Rear spoiler
Door visors
Touch screen radio with navi and backup cam
Vkool tinted

Never mind going for the touch screen radio. It sucks and slows so bad. You might need to go aftermarket with that.

I got llumar security tint for free instead.

Rear spoiler for me i think is a must since it makes the rear look so cool.

So is it worth to get the premium one? When did u buy the car? What discount offer did u get?
*
My dad got it like last year end. We didn't get the premium one, just the touch screen radio. Not sure about the rebate but I know the security tint is free

I still prefer to get 3M tint as I don't really trust those free tint coz they won't give u the good one. Will go check out how is the rebate they give right now then only decide.

The one I got is LLumar security tint, so it's quite ok. I thought only conti brands provide it, who knows Nissan provide it FOC too.

In dillema of either getting a brand new Serena or recond 2008 Estima. Estima looks good but Serena is new. Wanted to buy 2010 Wish but seems too small.

Estima everywhere. Get Serena bro! Stand out! Yeah not as luxurious as Estima but still, new car! Both having cvt anyway.
