Yes I did canceled the booking earlier in july luckily.
Recently the sa called and telling about the great offer, so I booked the same car again haha.

Just got the car yesterday evening. So far quite satisfied with the performance,  just feeling the noise level abit higher than grand livina.

I choose the 6k cash rebate instead of the accessaries offer.
Just wonder how much more offer would be given by TCM for 2014 serena.

Serena Hybrid Owners Alert....

I bought my car 3 months ago and love using it... especially for family outings.

Yesterday whilst getting ready to go out, my wife closed the rear boot quite hard and less than a minute later we heard a glass cracking sound.

The rear glass panel on the top section of the boot had cracked on the left and right side... from the top to the bottom.... a clean linear crack.

DO NOT SLAM THE REAR BOOT DOOR!!!

My wife is a petite girl but the downward momentum when closing the door can be strong and results (in my opinion) in the glass panel cracking.

Been asking around the different car dealers and most of them said the same thing, usually starts at a certain weak point especially at the edge.

Tchong wants rm 2200 for replacement, i've found a replacement from China for Rm 450. Still mulling over the pros and cons.

Anyone receive SMS notification about update map for NAVI? did any of u guys update it?

Did both firmware update and maps update.
Notice no diff for the firmware update on the headunit.
But the map update really change the whole gps  interface.

But you need to sign up an account first.
Then go to new authentication button and add new device.
Key in the hardware key and last PRESS THE FREE BUTTON ON THE MOST RIGHT EDGE to renew serial no. For new map.

The map update file is huge, its 1.2gb file size.  Prepare a new sd card with min 2gb capacity.
Keep the ori sd card just incase it doesn't work.

Got my CBU Serena last Friday. Done V-Kool tinting and added 2 tweeters to make the sound alive. Wrapped my headlights with transparent stickers (blue stickers not allowed by JPJ). Waiting for the rear spoiler and luggage net from one of our members.

Guess everybody here are family man....but I'm happy being a bachelor with a family MPV. Fits my bigger size and I like the lots of space feeling. Plus driving the Serena makes me feel like Han Solo with his Millennium Falcon. Hehe.

New CKD 2014 Serena is out this week (I think). So for soon to be owners, check it out first. For me...I prefer Japan QC. Higher standards. Plus....I feel very irritated that the back A/C is using lever type. Low class, man!

And for those going to Legoland soon, enjoy. For me..that is a kid's place. So..perhaps next time.
