Anyone knows is Goodyear F1A2 a directional tire?
I think it is right?
Because Asymmetric means directional?

Just changed 4 pieces of ps3 225/45 18" tyres. Each cost me rm790. Not sure is it good price or what but retail price is rm901.

Yes probably. Cost me RM 4542 to get 4 Michelin PSS (inc allignment & balancing). But i got tired of comparing Assy2 and PSS so decided to just get the PSS. I spend alot of time on the highway and ive always found Michelin to last.

If you guy wanna ask for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym 2,
ii am the user too.

From my personal review of the tyre :
The tyre grip is much impressive, when stopping or emergency stop.

Noise is quiet than others tries.
Web or dry is no problem when in the rain and hit on 120km/h.
Corner handeling as much as you shock on non brake at 90km/h for keep cornering.
Stick on stone? Had No issue, only the surface like glum rubber, when starting drive from your house as 1 minute can near the smaller flying stone and hit on internal side fender and after is gone.

So far i am has been ride in 4k Km already, in the condition still look new and same feeling when bought new.

Price is Rm460 per piece and made in Germany

RM460 means surely smaller rim size right? Yeah Assy 2 is surely much better than even Michelin PS3. Some aspects slightly better than Michelin PSS also. What tyres were u using before?

Am looking to change my tires too. Looking for comfort, quiet and reasonable amount of wear life too. So far, the michelin ps3, the Gy asym 2 and the Yokohama advan db are on my list.

Wanted to try Gy, but they don't have 225/50R17, 45 will be bouncy for me.

Well if ure looking for performance tyres, then ull have to give up on the comfort part especially for larger rims like 17" and above. Higher profile tyres will be noisy. Even my new Michelin PSS 18 inchers are noisy although not as much as my previous Nexens. But u get excellent wet and dry braking and really good cornering abilities. Overall i think that the Assy 2 are quite good for the price ure paying. Comparable with Michelin PSS for certain criteria.

Forte suspension is slightly hard.

For the tips and prefer you change into 16inch rims or used thicken profile on 50 and above.

If don't have 55 and change to 16 inch rims and used with 60 profile guaranty is solve the pumpy issue.

my guess is most likely ps3 since comments/feedbacks it is softer than GY F1 A2 (assuming you meant A2 and not D5)

Since u mentioned about D5, how is it compared to F1 in terms of comfort? Noise? I am not really into max performance, only driving a normal car, don't need super high performance tyre biggrin.gif

D5 is noisy as the name implies: directional 5, and directional tires are typically noisy as they are also catered for performance (which the D5 performance is very comparable to A2 however at a MUCH cheaper price)

Michelin Primacy LC is very quiet to me, even PS3 also very quiet ( cannot afford the price, RM500 per donut for my tyre size of 205/55/R16 )..looking for some performance, quiet and not very expensive ( <Rm400 la if possible )

very hard already considering your criteria, perhaps can consider Yokohama c drive 2?
less performance (especially wet, just drive slower ya) than ps3, less treadwear, however NVH/comfort should be better smile.gif
