TNB SOP says payment is 30 days after meter reading is verified.  I forgive them if payment comes in about 40 days.  they are so understaffed and each account is manually checked, so I was told.

yes, pls call them.  i dont think they like to have to pay out too large sums too.  you may get a late, fat angpow.  dont forget to buy me a (root)beer when u meet me :-)
*
I will give them a call after the CNY holiday then. Hope they can give me a big fat angpow soon. Sure will buy you lots of root beer when we have the opportunity to meet sometime in future.

thanks for the info. i got them from a ranking of good panels. better to go q-cells or panasonic then?
*
Both q-cells and panasonic are good. You might want to consider Sunpower also. It has the highest efficiency compare to the rest.

Efficiency is overrated guys, unless space is a concern you can turn a blind eye to efficiency of modules. Temperature coefficient affecting output and yield is more important.

In this case what is your recommendation?

TNB had replace my new meter at the middle of August and I always record the meter reading at Thursday morning.
The reading at 29/8/2013 is    254
the reading at 31/10/2013 is    3057
3057-254 =2803,    2803 /63 days =44.49
44.49 / 11.25kwh system = 3.95
3.95 is my SEPT n OCT performs. hmm.gif

Hi Brother kd8800,

Just wonder how was your systems performed over the past few months(from Dec until now). Sunshine in your area should be great during this period.

I thought there is a cap on the amount TNB will buy from FiAH?
So, if you install mirror to increase production... You will just get your earning earlier... And the year end months you will not get any payment from TNB even your system keep producing.

Some sharing. My system in Penang achieved peak of 61 kWh in Feb once.

What is your system capacity?

Hi, just come across this forum. Just to share, mine is 8kw system. Panel from borsch and inverter from koka (germany). Commissioned on 1 oct 2013 but till now still no payment ir invoice received from tnb. Damned frustrated. Ard dec last i found out my tnb meter hanged and started tracking the output daily. Then found out sometimes output only 2kwh for the whole day. After complaining to tnb, meter chged after a mth. Output since cny 2014 are high 20s and highest so far is 32kwh. My area is kota kemuning. Any members here still hvt got any payments from tnb?
*
My system commissioned on 18 Oct 2013 and until now still have not received any payment yet but keep receiving invoices(3 invoices so far). I hope to have the payment from TNB soon.

Panasonic panels and SMA inverter
@11.76kWp
*
In this case you are getting 61kWh/11.76kWp=5.19kWh/kWp. I am considering anything beyond 5kWh/kWp is a good day.

For my system, the higher performance I got was 5.5kWh/kWp on last saturday.

You can also email re@tnb.com.my. I complained abt non payment and to my suprise they actually replied within 2 hrs! Said will investigate immediately and revert soonest. That was 2 days ago. Good luck.

By the way, i also sign up e-services acct on tnb website and now i can see when tnb came to do reading and what was the reading and payment advice. I didnt received any physical payment advice though
*
This morning I contacted TNB using their Online service and from there they gave me a number to call Renewable Energy department and they gave me the same email to write in. As what you mentioned, I got the reply within 2 hours. According to them, my previous 2 invoices were void because of some calculation errors by the system????, and the error was some kind of IOD ≠ COD which I have no idea. Now the status is IOD=COD(Anyone knows what this means?). After that I received another email from KL HQ sending to Penang branch to inform the to read my meter reading.

Surprisingly, I got a call from Penang branch this evening asking me to provide my meter reading value to them. I assume they will use this meter number for the coming invoice. Now I just I hope I can get the payment soon after this.

Just to share similar issue:

Last payment received: end Oct 2013
By end Jan 2014 still no payments, thus 5th Feb 2014 called Subang TNB-SEDA to check
Was told by "A" that there was reading but
a. "something wrong with my account in system"b
b. "need to clear + re-read meter & re-process"

By 28th Feb still no payment, thus called again to inquire
Was told by "B" that:
c. there were invoices even for Nov but "dibatal-kan"
d. reading was done after (b.) and that the invoice now needs to be verified by "A" before payment is made
e. expected $ in in 3 weeks time - ie. 3rd to 4th week Mar 2014

I wonder if i'll get the BLR+1%...
*
Just wonder whether is happen to majority of the people or we are the few lucky one sad.gif. To share further, I thought they should be able to read the reading better after installing the wireless module in the meter 2 months ago. Apparently this is not the case.

sigh.. dunno lar.

Eh, they installed wireless module 2 mths ago for yours?
They did it when commissioning OR specially arranged with U after going live/commissioning?
Mine - no one poked me (or my mother - system's in her name but on my roof  brows.gif ) about installing that thinggamajig.
*
They only installed the wireless module after commissioning for 1 month. They just drop in without prior notification. Lucky my wife was at home to watch them install as I was working during at time.

*
Based on what reference when they said it was 'too high'. What was you system performed during that period?

The last payment for my 1st system is end of DEC 2013, which TNB should be bank in my AFFIN BANK A/C. BUT they didn't. They bank in to my second system's bank a/c. My second system just T&C at end of DEC 2013. My SP phone TNB, they said all payment will bank in 1 account only.

Hi brother kd8800, how was your system performed over the past 2 months in Jan and Feb. I guess your system should be performing very well.

reading at 28/11/2013 =4291kwh
reading at 27/2/2014  =8629kwh
amount get is (8629-4291) = 4338kwh for 91 days.
4338/91 = 47.67kwh per day.
47.67kwh/11.25kwp =4.23kwh/kwp.

I think this is not the highest rate I get, according to my last year record, the highest kwh/kwp I get is 5.4 for March and April.
Wait until then and see.
*
Looks like both of our system performance are correlating with each very well. I am getting around 4.3kWh/Kwp during this period.

Hope that we can get our payment soon.

My 4KwP system was commission on 6 Dec (12pm). Exactly 3 months 1/2 day as of now :

Current reading (7pm of 6 March) = 1267 ( 1285 from Inverter reading), ie around 1.5% variant btw TNB and Inverter reading which should be a norm according to installer ...

1267 / 90.5 days = 14 kwh per day = 3.5 kwh / kwp ...

seem performance is poor for mine compared to you guys... despite it exactly tally with what my installer forecast earlier, ie 3.5 kwh / kwp average per day ... sad.gif

And despite my system is 4000W, the max of day only reached around 3100 kw around 12-2 pm ... is this abnormal?

But for past 1 month after CNY, every performance is average at 17kwh per day / 4KwP = 4.25  kwh / kwp ... let hope later of the year would be better ...

Where is your system located. Our systems are located in Penang and Kedah.

My system located at Seri Kembangan ... Noted northern hvg higher irradiance but the different should not more than 5% ... the different perhaps due to other factors ... as I noted my area used to hv big cloud after lunch ...
*
Yap, cloud is one of the main factor that will reduce your system output by huge amount. I can notice the system performance is reduced by at least 50%.

Just checked my generation;

No of days of generation; 104 [commissioned on 25 Dec 2013]
kwh output;  3393
kwh output per day; 32.6

system; 12kw
panel; panasonic
inverter; SMA

location; Rawang

this is equivalent of 2.7 hours a day.  below my expectation.....

any thoughts.....
*
Your system performance seems relatively low. We should expect the first few months of the year to have higher yield. What is the string configuration of your system? Do you have any shading issue?

i spoke to the installer;

- there were problems with over-voltage in the initial months and frequent tripping of the system.  TNB issue.  luckily solved.

- the last one month of yield is 3.18 hours so i guess that is ok.

- string configuration is 50%;50% (south side : north side of roof).

- Panasonic 245Wp (49 pieces).

appreciate any other comments....
*
Since there is no shading issue and you have solved the over-voltage issue. I guess more like due to the weather at your location and also tilt angle of your panel.

For my system I still managed to get around 4.2 hour/kWp in Apr and my location is in norther part of the peninsular.
