Hi all,

I need some opinions and advise from you, and please please don't flame me. smile.gif

I've read up alot and looked at the comparisons for these 3 cars, Neo CPS, Neo CPS R3 and the Lancer GT 2.0. I am aware that the Lancer is not within the same class, but these 3 cars are within my budget of RM900 a month for monthly repayment. 15k DP.

I was initially planning to settle down for just the ordinary Neo CPS as the CPS R3 offers NO performance upgrades. But after some calculations, the Lancer GT2.0 is just RM300+- for monthly repayment and Insurance+Roadtax(Including NCD).

I'm 21, single and have about RM1800 to spare each month after paying off my commitments. I need some feedback in terms of performance, handling, FC, maintainance and reliability. Shall I just settle down for just the regular CPS? Or just feel the pinch a bit more by getting a Lancer GT?

I would appreciate your feedbacks. Thank you.

Go for lancer GT 2.0, more worth it by your calculation. Consider as upgrade and higher class compared to the Neo.

21 and single still have long way to go, get a better car since your done with monthly commitments.

Rm1800 after commitments. Get a lancer 2.0gt. Image and youre young, youd want a GT-tagged car.

RM1800 is left behind after paying off my commitments and keeping aside for daily fuel & makan money. Not inclusive of savings.

The reason on why I need some advise is that I plan to use the car for a long time and i'm not sure if buying the Lancer would be a good idea for someone my age as I may have to pay for other things in the future. Say if I buy a 2nd hand Neo CPS, I would have an additional RM400 to spare.

What would you guys say about this?

Neo CPS R3 - RM57k +-
Lancer GT 2ND Hand - RM75k+-

If you actually read my post, you would see that I mentioned its within my budget of RM900 monthly repayment.

Getting a used car you may need to reserve small portion of fund to revitalize the car, if luck is not on your side, just beware and have a thorough check

Haha, hi bro. I guess you know why i'm here. biggrin.gif

Keeping image/gaya aside. In terms of affordability, do you think I can afford to drive the Lancer? I need to take into monthly repayments, increased FC, maintenance, and I also need to save some cash to cover for the upcoming Road Tax+Insurance. Not only that, I will need some spare cash to keep for savings and to also live life a little. Now the question comes down to if the Lancer is affordable. Need some advise on this too also please.

The problem with 2-door cars is most of my friends sell them after they get a baby/child.
I love hatchback cars too but I also excluded 2-doors due to reason above.

wa so lucky. only 21 got 1.8k to spend aside. good good. rclxms.gif

if i were u id choose normal neo just to be on the safe side. You can mod it aplenty?

At least alot of people familliar with proton, and u save a cash by not goin for the lancer GT.

Plus the lancer GT isnt that powerful.. and some more auto no syiok.

at the end of the day, better get a manual if u are comfortable with it. Auto gearbox tend to breakdown and cost alot more.

my 2 cents.
