i think both of you misunderstand me. autolock is the idle time set before the phone screen off and locks.
if coming from iphone, u get that via cydia, sbsettings

the ones both of you mentioning is locking the phone without using the physical button on the note

dude, i want a toggle/shortcut to on/off the set screen lock time

Anyone successfully connect ethernet usb to their Note 2? I tried to insmod asix.ko but i got this output
"inmod: init_module 'asix.ko' failed (Exec format error)"

I compile the driver in Linux Mint 14, then transfer the whole folder into Note 2
Dmesg seems detecting the Ethernet USB, but no driver attached to it.
Can anyone give clue to this newbie? Thanks

It's really funny to see the responses to my rant here, just because I clarified first I am a Apple user, and of which I intentionally did so. Well I've fought Apple fanboys, been labelled as one, defended as one and blasted as one, no harm done, it's fine.
But the reaction here, if anything, it's more than fanboyism. Apart from fruitie and cyberic (* and kevyeoh, andrewtho) others just blasted without even bothering the fact that I am in fact a Note 2 user, and treated a fellow user with complaints like an enemy of the "Samsung state", just because I'm a Apple user.
For those who criticized my complaints of the Note 2,I can't help it but label some of you hypocrites. I've screened through couple of pages and it seems I'm not the only one who complained certain issues. But of course because I'm a Apple user, you guys chose to put on the defensive hat and blasted almost immediately.
Well it's sad this is the behavior of the Note 2/Android community here, it's just embarrassing. While I expect most of you to say the same about the Apple community, well it is true as well, and you guys here are no different.

Well the issue here is that you stated problems that most of us don't have. Instead of looking for the cause and solving it you just blame it on android and the phone. From my experience using Android for the past few years with different phones most issues are related to
1) hardware defect which you should get the manufacturer to replace
2) user problem.  new users especially can mess up their phone when they try to do this and that without enough knowledge. They should ask for help and learn instead of blaming it on something new to them.

sorry to say that due to the fact of you complaining about issues that don't exist, we can't help but think that you are trying to start a flame war.

btw.. .if he got faulty unit, get it replace wont be so difficult gua... customer always has the right rather complain here... even charger got hiss sound we already complain and get it replace liao.. he got so many problem why still no get it replace ?

Mr. I have all the oses phone also you don't see I rant. I have iphone 5, note 2 and lumia 800, 900 and 920

For me I adept to the phone limitations every phone have their pros and cons.

Iphone in the other hand the phone been telling the user what to do since day 1 . Iphone will say sir u only have two choice blue tooth the file or email accept it or leave it. So the user get so used to this habit its imprinted  in their head.

If those manage to come out of this brainwash see the difference and have a better adepting skill for those that cant they end up worshiping it and obey it like its their master.

haha actually just cant stand to listen those ifans bragging about how good their phone are and then say our phone no good la this and that... thiers iphone can do this and that... very boring they all...

i dislike iphone.. is only because of the limitation .... too much restriction yet selling at premium price.. and i never loyal to Samsung haha.. but damn i use 3 Samsung phones thats because of the specs they offer at reasonable price lor...

i flashed monx rom n perseues kernel.

then restroe your nandroid 1st . If u get back your baseband and imei , means your dl is corrupted .

repeat all your steps and check for the right kernels..
