Somehow at low light I still need to try hold it or support it very stable to take a sharp image. Else sometimes it might be blurry with my hands. Maybe I drink too much coffee till hands shaky tongue.gif

OIS isn't magic, it's just a tool that helps you lar. SO of course you still need to hold it stable.

Hmmm.. Phone restarted a LOT today, the main difference today was that I pretty much turned on Skype Messenger Notifications, Facebook notifications and Twitter notifications, and I was moving a lot of messages.

Wonder if there's any relation between the restarts and the data usage.

I think Nokia has serious continuous issue with announcing thing with the right timing

Not again

Makes me wonder when Microsoft would buy HTC and create their own Nexus line of WP. HTC is so much easier and cleaner to buy than Nokia.

omg... thanks telling about the region thing....

Singapore have so much more apps then malaysia.... WHY????
*
Because Malaysia was enabled later than Singapore, the old apps need to be resubmitted to get into Malaysia list.

Also.. Malaysia being Malaysia there rae more 'rules' for developers to follow...

but I want to know the reason behind it.

izzit the app problem or something else.

I must know. smile.gif
*
It could be that you're unlucky and data connection cut out when retrieving video info and the app doesn't know how to respond properly.

The other reason could be that, even when I use m.youtube.com some videos would have the note that the publisher choose not to make it visible for mobile. Not knowing how the apps actually work means can't verify this.

Can consider Panasonic Chargepad or Energizer wireless chargers. Cost less and charges up to 2 qi-compatible devices simultaneously.

where to find such pads?

Try to share some experience here....

One of the key main point that determine the battery life is the quality of the signal,

let me explain here..

When I am in my KL house where the signal is strong (4 full bar with HSDPA signal almost the time), my battery can last around 30+ hours

But when i balik kampung where the signal is weak (1-3 bar signal with sometime Edge, sometime GPRS, sometime HSDPA, keep on changing), my battery can only last around 12 hours... morning charge full, 4-5 pm already drop below 25%...
*
That is correct, because basically it works like this

- If phone is set to use 3G
- whenever the phone is NOT on 3G, do a scan of ALL networks
- Is there a 3G network which the phone can attach to?
- No... then scan again after a while.

As you would expect, this consumes a LOT of power. It's also why if you set connection to 2G only it'll save power. We used to be able to set the connection to "3G ONLY" so it doesn't search for 2G when it's not on 3G. But obviously.. your phone won't be online when there's no 3G network then.

Hope so, but still cant find any to play MKV files directly by free Apps. Default player seems undetected doh.gif
*
you'll need to recontain the file into mp4 format before you can play them on your phone
http://www.marauderzstuff.com/PermaLink,gu...9d349bc9c9.aspx

note that if its a soft sub file then that'll be a problem. Maybe I'll come up with a program that can help with hard sub as well.

Well, when you recontain, its much faster compared to encoding at least

I've replaced my 10 year old cut SIM with a spanking new Micro SIM today, we'll see if this solves the restart problems as mentioned by one of the posts in the Nokia Forums.

Anyone had any issues with the Internet Sharing?

Can detect the hotpost generated by the Lumia and can connect to it.

But the internet just doesn't work. But when I browse on the Lumia, it is fine.
*
What are you using to connect to the hotspot? I use it with my devices just fine.

Testing low light performance by shooting directly at a relatively bright light without any way to make sure the exposure settings are the same? Not exactly the most appropriate way to run a test in my opinion.

I bought a screen protector that covers the entire screen for my Lumia 920 as well, but it kept on losing it's adhesiveness on the curved sides. The person selling the screen protector knew all along about this issue and told me about it AFTER HE STICKS IT. Ah what an a**. I got the screen protector on for (not even) 30 minutes after purchasing it and decided to throw 25 bucks into the bin.  cry.gif
*
I'm giving those liquid coating screen protectors a try since I just need to protect against light careless mistakes. Since having a 1 year old around would pretty much render any screen protector useless!

Viruses and malware would be rare on Windows Phone, since the certification process would hopefully prevent them from getting published in the store.

You should search for Android malware instead.. that's pretty real!

Bought the brandless wireless charger. tongue.gif

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...88&hl=lumia+920

Well.. it works, just that you can't put the 920 in the center of it, need to move it a bit higher from the bottom edge.
