thanks for the info bro. this is the same as the ones i found on taobao. the main problem with this type is that you cannot zoom in or out, its a fixed 8x zoom lens.
*
Oh... it is? Okie then. Maybe you could use it as a frame for a variable zoom lens? wink.gif

nice..
i wonder if nokia store provide sim cutting service..
hehe.. hopefully today i wont get a lemon unit..
*
Cut SIM has been associated with some of the instability problems. I recommend that you don't cut the SIM.

can convert to micro sim?
i cant afford to change number, cos too many important things i associated with this number..
how much for change to microsim?

or do u buy new number?
*
It's just changing the SIM card, your number stays the same. Think of the number as the username and the SIM card as the password, your username always stay the same, but you can change your password.

Hmm... for your case it might be due to tinting if you are using high quality tint for your camry. I am not using Vkool also. I am assuming that 920 should be better than my N8 in GPS since it support GLONASS and also with gyrometer, but last nite I tried to get somewhere with Nokia Drive and ended up lost for 30mins. It can't even detect my car speed and it keep detecting me at incorrect place in the map.
Wondering if I should reinstall the app or not...  hmm.gif
*
Incorrect place on the map such as on the wrong side of the road, or the road next to where you are? Or just totally out?

Totally out might be because it was using AGPS because it couldn't see that GPS satelites and it latched on to the location of a WiFi or the main Telco data center.

Wrong road from what I feel is that the Nokia Drive has "Snap to road" turned on, meaning that it'll always try to put the pin on a road. Remember that GPS isn't perfect, so this 'feature' creates some interesting results...

so i applied my nillkin screen protector. looks good but within a few minutes, the top curve part got peeled off. the glue not sticking anymore. now i geram, i cabut the whole screen protector. haih.

anyone can recommend good screen protector for our 920 other than from nillkin?
*
The curve seems to make it very difficult for stuff to stick. I decided to just use one of those liquid polymer coatings.

It looks like the Nokia Drive has been upgraded.  smile.gif

Nokia Drive+
*
If you were keeping up with the updates, you'd notice that it has been called "Nokia Drive+ Beta" for a while already. main difference is that it is now available for ALL WP8 devices instead of just Nokia's

*
Basically it's stuff similar to this
http://dynaflousa.com/product_info.php?products_id=127

Does it actually work?
- Well.. I feel there's some sort of coating on the screen.

Have I tried testing it to see if it works?
- Would you try putting your normal screen protector to a test to see if it works?

last night i got the scariest night ever..
my lumia 920 feel so hot when i open camera apps..

uninstalled the apps already, forgot the name lol..
but basically the apps combines three photos into a frame (with borders)..

lucky i quickly shut down the phone, let it cool and reboot..

now i need to be careful when install apps..
btw, i'm using windows xp on my pc..
quite leceh la..

haha..

lucky still can access files through skydrive account
*
According to those xray videos, the top is occupied by the cpu and radio chip. So... were you doing anything cpu intensive, or data intensive on cellular network?

Anyone experience problems getting pushed Facebook messages using Messaging? I don't receive my messages sent through Facebook chat sometimes.
*
one of the questions regarding that has always been.. Is your Facebook web page open and in focus on any browser? *sometimes* it seems like it only sends to the phone if it feels you didn't read it on the web.

What features in a dialler are you looking for? Other than the call log that is not as good as the iPhone (Same phone number displayed multiple time instead of one number and then you can click on the number to check the time stamp).
*
On win phone you can tap on the number in call history and then slide to history tab to see the times the number called and sms'ed you.

Just now for the 1st time my lumia920 hang and the screen won't even shut down.
Even trying to shut down the phone is to no avail.
But by taking out the simcard seems to restart the phone back. But is it safe to do that? and are there any other ways to counter the problem?

Hold Power + Vol. Down until it turns off... think it was about 15 secs?

something went wrong with my L920..

i drag-and-drop a mp4 video via windows explorer into Videos folder, launches the Music+Videos app, go to Videos and i get the attached result below:

[attachmentid=3285930]

it's a duplicate entry where one with thumbnail and the other is simply black.

tapping any of it plays the file, but deleting any of it breaks the link and shows the following error message:

Sorry, we can't play this file on your phone. Error code: 80070002

anyone facing the same issue?
*
Copied a few mp4 to my phone before... worked properly.

It's interesting that you say you tried AVI... cause the phone isn't supposed to be able to play AVI... Wait.. when you tried to copy the file to the phone you would have gotten a warning about you might have to convert the file to make it playable on the phone, did you say YES?

What do you guys think about case with battery? Double your power, but double your size too  biggrin.gif

But I think the extra battery is ideal for travel.
