Alright! Any disadvantage of this phone that I should be aware of before deciding? tongue.gif
I was from SG SL i9003. Thought it was doing well though hahahaha.

Disadvantage? Hard to say, from my perspective...Nothing...All just fine..You can read all tips at first page...

Its just that this phone lacks of custom rom from the Dev, this is if you wanna flash a custom rom...Like me laugh.gif

Until now i cant find any suitable custom Roms for my IONs...Just that ive unlocked bootloader and rooted...

Then i just flashed with Cyber-Shot and JellyBean Tab'n'Grid function...Then some performance tweaks...

Maybe we'll wait for another 2-3month for a nice Rom from the Dev

Anyway it's still OK to wait for dev. Don't wanna brick my new phone just like that.
Uh ya, in Malaysia our variant is just HSPA+ right and not LTE?

Doesn't matter yet. Malaysia 4G has yet to improve until a LTE device is in need.
Plus, no money to subscribe to such high end data plans or what..

Hahahaha!

The fact that many complaining about short battery life disturbed me.. I generally spend 3 hours screen on daily. Hopefully it lasts from 7am to 8pm for me to get home and recharge...

One of the reason we (ion owner) bought it its becuz it was larger screen than the S. and comes with memory card expansion. I personally bought it its becuz it comes with so sexy RED which I dnt think theres any devices out there can beat the design and quality of Sony's ion. smile.gif

Ion is alot more worth getting now, seeing TX and V and the just announced Z/ZL, price definitely affect on ion's and best thing as well is that, dealers usually pack lots freebies with it now compared to what we got it when it first release in msia back in Aug 2012.

ROM and tweaks for ion might be Less compared to other Xperia (S especially) cuz ion did not have any chance to gain attraction eversince S released, thts one thing im pretty annoyed back then when Sony released NXT series and kept ION aside for 6 months after S released.

Im still very proud using my ion even till today though. Ppl and friends around me always amazed by the screen itself and ask me what phone. wink.gif

To me, iPhone is overpriced and Samsung is overrated as in too many features and I seriously doubt, how many of them who bought it will fully utilized it besides the camera and social media? Correct me if im wrong. smile.gif

Just my personal thought on using the xperia ion after 6 months purchased. Sorry if i mentioned too long.

Ion battery is actually pretty sufficient for average daily usage. Sms, calls, social media, camera. It actually can last for 10-12 hours depends on usage.

I updated my ion to the latest on 3.7 2 weeks back and i was impressed by the improved performance but not with the battery life compared to the 2.8

So i flash back to 2.8 and flash the Cyber shot mod in my ion and my battery still maintain longer than the 3.7 currently.

Im still waiting Sony to come up with battery fix and even better performances like faster loading, louder volume if possible, more responsive touch button, perhaps more or better features on the Walkman or Camera at least?

This is who we called enthusiasts. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

I have same thought as you, wanna flash back my rom to .2.68 but im thinking other than battery life decreasing in .3.7, i still think there's lot more improvement in terms of performance in .3.7 firmware...

So i might stick with this first...Wait for next update from sony nod.gif

Bro other than Cyber-Shot, what else did you try? JB Grid?

actually T/TX do not have LTE as well. ZL have LTE but do not have the band (band 7) in m'sia
V and Z have LTE supported in m'sia.
