QUOTE(EmilyEmily @ Feb 28 2013, 03:59 PM) so in conclusion, shall i do it like this for my 22x16x15cm moss & shrimp tank? that one hell of a price of checkvalve... http://www.my-mac.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11047 1, 1.5L bottle for the yeast & sugar mixture. 2, is this alright for bubble counter(gas separator) instead of using 500ml bottle? http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum/showt...-and-checkvalve 3, i'll be using cigarette filter as my diffuser 4, some suction cups to secure the tube to the glass 5, 2 check valves 6, btw, went to shop for check valves.. rm5 each dont know if it's expensive or cheap cause it's plastic looks something like this ![]() 7, air control valve rm 3.50 for 1. (do i really need this?) looks like this ![]() 8, am i missing anything? nice bubble counter..didnt know got diy for that... u got super glue or silicone to seal it? DIY main problem is leakage... clear CO2 tubing? got ? |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Mar 4 2013, 09:12 PM) Hey bro. I thought it's a "cheap option" for planted tanks weijie did sell some reasonable co2 sets...rm310 i guess..but its a manual regulator..planning to get that one too later...hahahaI would like to ask what are the recommended brands for a full CO2 set but not to expensive la..around RM300 boleh? Update: Did some calculations: Assuming a RM32 CO2 diffuser can can last around 3 weeks, refills costing around RM25. Total cost per year is RM32 + (RM25 X 52weeks/3) = RM465 Assuming a RM300 CO2 system can last around 4 months, refills costing RM20. Total cost per year is RM300 + (RM20X3) = RM360 Whoaa indeed a CO2 system is much better in the long run (plus the extra features) assuming my assumptions were accurate |

QUOTE(jctasoga @ Mar 6 2013, 08:28 AM) kytz : it depends on your level of success that you require. its too subjective to say. plants will love more co2 but ur fishes will not. slowly n painful death..RIP tetraslooking back at my diy co2, i must've poisoned by cardinal tetras due to the overdose of co2 from the DIY. because i put 1 table spoon of yeast into the mixture, the bubble rate should be quite high. and i put the co2 24/7. so u can imagine they must've been gulping for air especially at night. |

Yesterday I measured mine was lost around 1.5cm. Is it normal? Yesterday temp was around 28-29C, running with 2 DIY fan blow on top. Currently Im using Taiyo CF1000. Sorry if the topic was discussed earlier Thanks in advance |

QUOTE(kiminha @ Mar 6 2013, 10:13 PM) Hi, put some hardy fishes like danio, and add live stock slowly. for a new nutrient enriched soil i'll just do WC 50-80% three times a week for a month. then wc 50% 2 times a week for the 2nd month and 50% weekly for the third month. i just use treated pipe water. usually it will takes about a month. thanks bro kiminha...terbaik |
