most probably it’s a result of hardware failure rather than a driver or kernel bug. USB has an over-current protection, which gets triggered when power consumption from the port is too high.
-----------------------------

any suggestion of device that can add the USB power?
*
just change the power adapter from your original 12V / 1A -> 12 V /2A will do the job,.

digilife Fixed yours but my own V2 still cacat. doh.gif

I measured on my Multimeter, my V1 draws 280mA on 3G IDLE and 417mA on 3G load.
Signal is -8XdBm, wifi is turned off.

On V2 with wifi turned off, 3G not connected state draws 204mA and a kernel error seem disabled the USB. Thanks or the tips lpc26 notworthy.gif
TP-LINK circuit is poorly designed or to save cost and unable to supply enough juice doh.gif

Both test are conducted on the same power brick and same E3276.

Solution : Use a Y connector.
Solution 2 : Get a cheap 5V module to power up the modem using the 12V supply bypassing the TP-LINK circuit.

I am not an E&E engineer. As far as I know ampere is auto regulated.
*
the method that dairyman provide at rooter websites is something similar like what you stated,..

i choose the 12V 2A power adapter replacement method from there too
i use it with my V2 & E3276 and also wifi is running at Maximum broadcast as well

The brick I use able to supply more than our router need.
Problem is not with the supply, is with the circuit.

As V2 is not regulating the correct current, will send mine to warranty.
*
yeah, the cricuit on the board might has issue, well so far mine seems okay i guess sweat.gif

i see, now i know.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

i through they have some special device that can detect if that device already been install with custom firmware or not. like apple, they can know if this iphone or ipad already been jailbreak before or still virgin  brows.gif  brows.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
*
most user successful claim warranty,
of course u should at least flash it back to the stock firmware before send it in LOL biggrin.gif

i mean the stock firmware is good, but their are so outdated due to newer 4G LTE modem is coming,.so most user kind of like have to jump in rooter custom firmware to get better support with their device, like current one huawei E3276 especially,..

Here's my current setup that works with E3276 on MR3020:
Modem firmware - 21.132.01.00.000
ROOter firmware - Huntsman 2013-11-10 Red
Router Power - 4-ports USB Charger (Connected main router cable to 2.0A and secondary router cable to 1.0A)
AT Command used - AT^SETPORT=”A1,A2;10,12,13,16″ (note that this will disable the virtual CD and microSD card reader, i prefer this as I don't like the annoying prompt every time I plug E3276 into my laptop)

For those that can detect but can't dial, make sure that at ROOter > Modem > Information > Device Debug Information, you have the modem component detected:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

If you're just getting the Linux hub (I experienced this on my WR710N and MR3420V1), you may try the following:
- Unplug the E3276, wait for one minute and plug back in
or
- Go to ROOter > Modem > Connection and switch USB Power (if supported) to OFF, save it. Wait for 1 minute or so before switching it back to ON and save.

I prefer the 2nd method since I put them outside the balcony.

great share thumbup.gif

it is also depends on your budget mainly ,
E3276 is Cat 4 LTE modem, support all bands, confirm is future proof notworthy.gif
i personally prefer E3276 over E398 ( i use both before & speak from my own personal experience only )
