Me: What identifies that (use of PPP) from the system log?

Dairyman: The fact that it used AT Commands to connect to the network. The ATD *99 command is used for PPP only.

For QMI you'll see other stuff like ===Starting QMIhelp and various things QMI related.

For the Sierra it uses AT Commands but the key one is AT!SCACT which does the Direct IP thing.

So I can tell by looking what protocol is being used. Makes me look brilliant to the unwitting.

after flash to open wrt, my tp-link mr3420 unable to detect the correct location already...

before this with the stock firmware, it able to detect the current location.

For example, with stock firmware, in Puchong, my iPod Touch able to detect correct location, mind that iPod Touch doesn't have WiFi and it detect location by using the connection that it connect

even in Cameron Highlands also, it can detect the correct location..

but, after flash to open wrt, itmy iPod Touch] unable to detect the exact location, it still stuck at Cameron Highlands[I flash my router at Cameron Highlands]
but when go to free WiFi McD, it able to detect exact location[McD itself]

so, it is the modem/router problem, and not the iPod Touch problem...
so, how to fix this?

Huntsman  2013-04-14, is smooth on my 1043ND but the "Keep Alive" although selected will make the modem to fall back to WDCMA and not DC-HSPA+ always , anyone can help?

Those who have intention to buy a 3G router, go for 1043ND because in OpenWRT , it support USB modem , LTE modem too and it is power by a 1.5A power adaptor that also includes Gigabit LAN , price wise just abt rm30 over MR3420. It also have 8MB of flash memory for a bigger image compared to 4MB on MR3420, not forget to mention its triple antenna.........

USB hub is working but I think you need a powered USB hub

Unless Dairyman come up with a dual USB Modem support  Custom FW for 1043ND  else, play with Mikrotik ~ but mind you dun use 2 sims of the same telco 

However with 1043ND power adaptor of 1.5A, i guess it will be under-power to run 2 USB modem at one go, BUT i am running my Asus RT-16N on a 2.0A power adaptor although the default is only 1.5A  ~ and the WiFi Signal is Superb 

i don't remember. but i think i change the lan to dhcp. is there any difference which one i change to dhcp? and any ideas how can i undo what i've done. i've tried resetting the router but no luck

i cannot reach the status page. everytime i try to open 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 it just kept loading and loading until it says unable to connect to network.

i'm using v2 so no qss button. i tried using reset button and the sys led blinks fast. but i dont know how to telnet.

i have try putty but i don't know the ip address. i've try 192.168.1.1 but it's no use.
