QUOTE(Wahroonga Farm @ Feb 14 2013, 02:05 PM) I asked the same question i've managed to get it to work.. is the wwan1 interface should show an ip address or not? Here is the answer. Me: What identifies that (use of PPP) from the system log? Dairyman: The fact that it used AT Commands to connect to the network. The ATD *99 command is used for PPP only. For QMI you'll see other stuff like ===Starting QMIhelp and various things QMI related. For the Sierra it uses AT Commands but the key one is AT!SCACT which does the Direct IP thing. So I can tell by looking what protocol is being used. Makes me look brilliant to the unwitting. ----- So check your System log. Is it successfully connecting to the network? gonna delve in more later.. |

QUOTE(kae7 @ Mar 6 2013, 01:13 AM) after flash to open wrt, my tp-link mr3420 unable to detect the correct location already... dont have gps i think? before this with the stock firmware, it able to detect the current location. For example, with stock firmware, in Puchong, my iPod Touch able to detect correct location, mind that iPod Touch doesn't have WiFi and it detect location by using the connection that it connect even in Cameron Highlands also, it can detect the correct location.. but, after flash to open wrt, itmy iPod Touch] unable to detect the exact location, it still stuck at Cameron Highlands[I flash my router at Cameron Highlands] but when go to free WiFi McD, it able to detect exact location[McD itself] so, it is the modem/router problem, and not the iPod Touch problem... so, how to fix this? |

Huntsman seems to have a huge speed advantage over BW on modem detection and connection.. no bugs encountered so far on MR3020+MF680

QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 15 2013, 01:28 AM) Huntsman 2013-04-14, is smooth on my 1043ND but the "Keep Alive" although selected will make the modem to fall back to WDCMA and not DC-HSPA+ always , anyone can help? i think the keep-alive is to keep the connection alive, not keep it at certain modulation mode.. some isp do kick you out of the connection if left idle.. celcom does... [attachmentid=3392540] and QoS is still 8640/8640 where DC-HSPA+ should be 42000/8640 [attachmentid=3392542] ![]() UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA, HSPA+ is essentially the same thing only different modulation... its still the same frequency... not forgetting MIMO.. |

QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 15 2013, 01:44 PM) Those who have intention to buy a 3G router, go for 1043ND because in OpenWRT , it support USB modem , LTE modem too and it is power by a 1.5A power adaptor that also includes Gigabit LAN , price wise just abt rm30 over MR3420. It also have 8MB of flash memory for a bigger image compared to 4MB on MR3420, not forget to mention its triple antenna......... how bout dual usb routers.. got suggestion? |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Apr 15 2013, 03:44 PM) how to load balance.. middle of the night speed pun 5-6 mbps.. with 100++ avg ping.. if load balance, no use 1.. hahahaexperimenting interesting stuff with routers, just need more room... 4mb of flash is very inadequate.. especially with Barrier Breaker.. eyeing a TP-LINK WR1043ND or WDR3600.. both seems delicious... ASUS RT-N16 looks good as well.. haih... lust... haha |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Apr 15 2013, 04:00 PM) and it also take a toll on the router.. 1 FW i build, exceeded the max size of flash on the 3420, then it makes a temp on the ram.. so each time i restart, i have 14mb free space, but no way of saving any modifications made.. lol..QUOTE(blacktubi @ Apr 15 2013, 04:04 PM) is it with out beloved 3420? if yes, do share.. hehe.. cpu speed might be a bottleneck though.. |

QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 15 2013, 06:22 PM) Unless Dairyman come up with a dual USB Modem support Custom FW for 1043ND i think blacktubi means that WR1043ND only got 1 usb port.. no 2...However with 1043ND power adaptor of 1.5A, i guess it will be under-power to run 2 USB modem at one go, BUT i am running my Asus RT-16N on a 2.0A power adaptor although the default is only 1.5A |
