usually entry and med range models are fast moving. Its difficult to give promo to prices that are already low, guess some where in US were having a launching promo and its over now.
Just like the Chronarch and Core in US, price hardly move from the SRP,.. if got also 10-20$ cheaper.

QUOTE(acheong7 @ Jan 24 2013, 05:40 PM)
yeah bro .. still at work
getting off in half an hour ... family needs to get out of the house

thanks, rory ... what is LM support?
does MFM/MSM qualify as evildonkey mentioned?
as far as i can from gloming forums, any compatible hardware will do and MFM is updated regularly .. just depends on individual needs
that seems to be the entry level unit ... nuvi 40/40LM
would love to get the one with the in-car cam ... but $$$$
*
Bro ED and Bro Cheong,

Yes it is true that MFM/MSM does provide the map support to Garmin. But to many end user who does not do the update themselves, then it is difficult to learn or less computer literate type smile.gif

Another angle to look at, MSM/MFM one day may close down, but not likely Garmin rite? biggrin.gif

The in car cam, i would not recommend. Tho it has awesome features on GPS recording, but it's like buying a cow for a pint of milk smile.gif

I rather you guys get the Montana series... lagi powerful. Can use on road, off road, in marine, 4x4, cycling, super bikes, ATV and mostly all outdoors... the only set back is - tarak fishfinder...!!

Shimano which model ar? or standard across the board?

If you say, 1 pair, which 2 bearing are we referring to?
*
For most Shimano LPBCs, 100 series Round BCs, and such.. Let me know the model and I can confirm it.
Also works with the MGX.

These 2 bearings will go on the spool tensioner and the side plate.

Viox, to answer to your queries, yes it does fit yr reel.

montana 650/650t .. i understand there's a 600 model as well ...
beyond my budget for now ...
pretty cool actually .. it's cheaper on the whole than getting different units for different activities

on a different note, Ocean Sea Seri Kembangan has about 8-10 Gomoku Erito rods .. sticker price rm321.

what caught my eye though were STORM BC and spinning rods in bright lemon/corn yellow all the way
all 6-footers outfitted with micro guides ... the spinning rod had three K (stripper) guides followed by micro guides
the BC reel seat are the split type exposing the blank
they come in 6-12lb and 8-17lb versions ... sticker price of rm322

there were 2nd hand spinning tenryu 6-12lb (handle heavy) and silstar (no poundage visible but had a crosshairs/target emblem on the blank ... both about rm300 ...

One thing I don't like about ocean sea is their pricing. Everything also gotta bring to counter to get the correct price.

I notice that the new Fuji k guides are like those on the storm rod. Micro guides seems to be the IN thing nowadays. Have that on my major craft skyroad spinning rod as well.

ooops my bad .. left out the 'K'
you're right bro inv, they're K guides

most of their stuff have price tags attached ... like how a yamaga blank rod is tagged rm1390 with 15% off ... it's worse in supermarts or hypermarts .... tongue.gif

some of my friends were raving bout micro guides a few years back ... no idea if they tried it or how it worked out
i use quite thick leaders ... micros might not be suitable

i guess it depends on the rod poundage as well. the heavier rods will have bigger micro guides compared to the lighter rod.

even the extreme angler's finesse rods made a few years back with the normal y-guides have micro guides on the top of the rods.

as for the size of the leader, it really depends on what game you're playing actually.

i have rods with the 'normal' sized guides and micro guides but i don't really feel the difference yet. perhaps i'm still not tuned to the rods i have.

me too. wouldn't it be easier for all parties if they would have just shown the nett price? or maybe they can just mark up the price a little to cater for member's discount and bulk discount or what not.

save time on asking and answering price queries..
