QUOTE(faujc99 @ Jan 21 2013, 04:09 PM) over there its quite lenient, nobody is patrolling. no lures, triple hooks, smelly bait allowed, normal freshwater pay pond, but like i said, lenient, some use triple hook, some use smelly bait... never see anyone with lures though haha Thanks very much, fau normal pond fish, patin, pacu, pak sou kong, carp, tilapia, rohu, no more red tail i guess after this, hehe..if they continue to put in the fish, i will camp there everytime they release i used to use bread+coconut milk+pandan flavor water mix, works wonder especially patin, but now kenot already. oh btw did i mention the fish there not nice to eat? mud taste very terrible, i sell back the fish most of the time, at RM1.50-2.00 a kilo. just to fight the fish only, record there 6.5kg patin i say .... mud taste/smell? cehhhhhh .... guess the buy back = discounted fishing time ... hehehehehhe |

the storm micro jigger max is 20g rm190 a li'l expensive .. try scouting a round last i saw, Loon Fatt, Sri Sentosa Old Klang Rd had the gomoku feels quite solid, should fare well with heavier jigs and bigger fish .. about RM200+ i think saw one each at hasya's and sky pond (last weekend) respectively its aesthetics is a personal turn off ... 1pc best, bro hehehehehhe http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...&v=vrFZY40YnHE#! the rod in this vid looks like not enough lifting power ... or ... am i wrong? anyone knows where can get AJN rods? yeah bro .. still at work
getting off in half an hour ... family needs to get out of the house thanks, rory ... what is LM support? does MFM/MSM qualify as evildonkey mentioned? as far as i can from gloming forums, any compatible hardware will do and MFM is updated regularly .. just depends on individual needs that seems to be the entry level unit ... nuvi 40/40LM would love to get the one with the in-car cam ... but $$$$ |

QUOTE(rorytate @ Jan 26 2013, 09:28 AM) Bro ED and Bro Cheong, Thank you, rory .. and as expected the price ... ! Yes it is true that MFM/MSM does provide the map support to Garmin. But to many end user who does not do the update themselves, then it is difficult to learn or less computer literate type Another angle to look at, MSM/MFM one day may close down, but not likely Garmin rite? The in car cam, i would not recommend. Tho it has awesome features on GPS recording, but it's like buying a cow for a pint of milk I rather you guys get the Montana series... lagi powerful. Can use on road, off road, in marine, 4x4, cycling, super bikes, ATV and mostly all outdoors... the only set back is - tarak fishfinder...!! does it float? |

montana 650/650t .. i understand there's a 600 model as well ...
beyond my budget for now ... pretty cool actually .. it's cheaper on the whole than getting different units for different activities on a different note, Ocean Sea Seri Kembangan has about 8-10 Gomoku Erito rods .. sticker price rm321. what caught my eye though were STORM BC and spinning rods in bright lemon/corn yellow all the way all 6-footers outfitted with micro guides ... the spinning rod had three K (stripper) guides followed by micro guides the BC reel seat are the split type exposing the blank they come in 6-12lb and 8-17lb versions ... sticker price of rm322 there were 2nd hand spinning tenryu 6-12lb (handle heavy) and silstar (no poundage visible but had a crosshairs/target emblem on the blank ... both about rm300 ... ooops my bad .. left out the 'K'
you're right bro inv, they're K guides most of their stuff have price tags attached ... like how a yamaga blank rod is tagged rm1390 with 15% off ... it's worse in supermarts or hypermarts .... some of my friends were raving bout micro guides a few years back ... no idea if they tried it or how it worked out i use quite thick leaders ... micros might not be suitable This post has been edited by acheong7: Jan 26 2013, 08:43 PM |

shoulder...?
may be helpful for those who might be interested http://www.bandfishingtackle.com/Waxing-Wa...-Moonphase.html "There are four key moon phases. Waxing, Waning, Cresent, Gibbous. Waxing is when the moon is growing, or getting bigger, Waning is when the moon is getting smaller. A Crescent Moon is when the moon is less then half illuminated and the Gibbous is when the moon is more then half illuminated. When fishing the Waxing Waning Moonphase the general rule is you fish the opposing tide of what the moon is doing. For example if the moon is Waxing or growing then try fishing the outgoing tide and when the moon is Waning getting smaller then try fishing the incoming tide. When the moon is in Crescent form then fish when the moon is at 10 - 2 or 2 -10 o’clock position in the sky. And fishing the moon when it’s directly above or in the 12 o’clock position in the sky is also good. On the Gibbous the same applies. On the full moon it pays to fish on the incoming tide and to fish deeper water, On the New Moon you can fish the out going tide and this is a time you can fish the shallower waters. Tip - the moon could be in these positions on the other side of the world you don’t need to actually see the moon as long as you know the positions at any given time." there's more with helpful diagrams |
