bro Viox,
I hear something about jugra pond?!

Bro Ipod,
Great! Looking forward to see you man... I think WetWetWater should have some ceramic bearings, good quality and fairly priced. Perhaps you can check your bearing dimension and size, then post here smile.gif

Jugra?

is call Jugra Saltwater Ponds

got 2 pond

First Pond

Fishing fees here is RM 3 / entry. They operate from 9 am till 12 am. This pond is stocked only with Siakap (Barramundi) from 400g to 1.5kg. All fish caught must be taken which they charge RM 15 / kg. The usual fishing method here is bait fishing with dead prawns but lure casting is also allowed. Treble hooks are not permitted.

Second Pond
The second operator actually has 3 ponds open for fishing. 3 of the ponds are stocked with one of each fish. Kerapu (Grouper), Jenahak (Snapper) & Siakap (Barramundi). There are two fishing options here. Option A is the normal take fish home. Fishing fees is also RM 3 / entry but they charge RM 5 / entry if you register at night. Fish caught, depending on species, are charged accordingly. For Groupers and Snappers is RM 35 / kg. For Barramundi is RM 17 / kg. There is also an Option B which is CnR fishing which they charge RM 50 for 4 hours. Lure casting is permitted but treble hooks are banned. They operate 24/7.

there are some anglers manage to land some big PBs. But yo have to be quick on your feet and bike, heard the guards will come chase on bike. It is trespassing private property.
*
let me share some regarding about that lake ...

the fish there is pretty big , but you risk getting caught by guards ...

once caught your fishing gear will be confiscated and your picture will betaken AKA "WANTED" style
second time been caught you will be facing a heavy fine , from what i hear they actually issue lawyer latter for that .....

the safest way to fish are next to the fence at the sungai besi toll
from there you can see guard coming from far .....

BUT if they decide to come from behind you GG liao....

most people fish there bring hand line or cheapo gear , because they expected to be caught...

last time can SONGLAP the guard but the guard become greedy charging as he like
then someone go REPORT on him and he got fired .....

now this new guard dont take SONGLAP anymore so you on your own.....

1st u gotta wait for the fish to bite, this is the time where we are most vulnerable
2nd, when the fish strikes and we are reeling it in (HERE COMES HE GUARD)

when we waiting and spots guard F1-ing towards you, cut line or reel the line back in? lol
so we cut line lari? damn .. either way damn sakit hati ...

but personally i think places like this deserves to be protected, coz there aren't many places that has such a habitat. clean, good size, and healthy amount of species...
BTW, you took the 17kg KELI HOME? wad u used as bait? intestines? casted straight into the middle? (as far as u could)
*
depend what gear you using....

that time i m using cheapo gear cost less then 50 bucks

dont mind getting caught ........

if bring expansive or branded gear i cut line and flee rolleyes.gif

no i didint bring home , because that size of fish dont taste good ......
bring home only 1kg size keli to cook soup

was using bread and casing , chicken intestine work also

if you want PB bring prawn to catch for small fish
after that hook it to a float and cast to the fallen tree near shore

Pay Ponds VS Wild Ponds (KL/Selangor)

this is probably a newbie question, been fishing for a couple of months but i strongly believe i am still a newbie biggrin.gif

Pay Ponds
so far my experience with pay ponds is .... disappointing, rarely get anything at all and never seem to be able to figure out whats the problem...
tried different baits, different advice and experimented with my own ways and 'theories' and still get nothing ... i believed I've donated about RM500
in total cumulatively in different pay ponds....

Wild Ponds
had pretty much bad luck with wild ponds too, only catch are small fishes, not even bigger than the palm. wild ponds and rivers in KL/Selangor are
usually polluted and over-fished...

i have some questions...
1) Do you all sifu's have any special technique or knowledge when it comes to fishing at pay ponds?
2) Can someone tell me something, or give any advice as to what to do when it comes to pay ponds?
3) Are there even wild ponds that are fish-able?
4) Any places to recommend? biggrin.gif

Regards,
Despo Newbie
